More issues etc for discussion (again,long read, ;-)

Well some off you might remember me with the wery long 1 post i made a little wile ago with and with out marks etc in the long wall off tekst il try to make that bette this time :wink: wount promise enything though.

Enyway i have been playing alot more with the neew release now and have a feew more things i would like to discuss or mention that i hope other people have the same or perhabs better or different iders about.
WARNING:im also letting out a little(mutch) steam wile i wrote this thread.
and being rather sarcastic in some places.

1: Al Bashra map the insurgentsy map, the fighting is way to centerd around British base in the middle off the map, and the problem is the British loose this map 19 times out off 20 reason iff they loose that flagg they bleed tickets realy fast ontop off that the ammo crates are offcause hard to find but rarely in the red circles when you optain inteligence about them, ontop off that the red circles stay after you destroy it, i think they shut disapear it only adds to confusion, but i would realy love to bring some more urban figting to that map there is rarely eny realy city firefights in that map sadly and those that are there are wery rare and short.
And another thing is the APC newer go to town :-x THIS CAN REALY MAKE MY PISS BOIL, they shut go in suport there team with better options to spawn and faster way to acces town to look and give better chances to find and destroy ammo crates, this almost newer happens because they go direktly to the left side off map were the insurgents spawn and camp/snipe there with the bloody apc.

2: TK. this is starting to get so anoying and half the time its for kits or somthing else like not getting a ride etc, i dont now howe meny times i have been TK bye som moron that dident get a ride and i did, im sitting on the back off the truck and get TK woot bloody moron so he TK people on the back off the truck not the guy controling the truck that dident go back or stop for him no he TK the people on the truck this is so moronic well its beyound me, because he dident get a ride and he whas slow, so he punished a random guy back in the truck ho did get a ride, man i wanner strangle theese people so badly pls make so iff they TK you within the first 1 min after the game starts they get killet them self iff possible this would cover both the not getting a ride thing i mean i would still get TK but so would he and get a punish ontop and they would also not get the kit they TK the guy for, this usualy happens in the beginning off each game with both things i mentioned here. either way i fear its not posible to make eny harder punishment for intention TK thought im a huge fan off atleast 2 min spawn time for those that doo! im also awere off that accidents happen but normaly people doo tend to tk deliberetly in the beginning off each game more then half way thrue a game and then iff most people now howe to say sorry.

3: APC´s. And then there is the moving APC´s yeasterday i hade a wery good laufgh, i saw this APC loadet with people, the driver yells jump out so they doo then he drives off offcause no no we must not let my team get kits, no im off to rape snipe leet kiddi somewere, enyhow i see this 6 man strong squad yell and screem for him to stop then he gets hit bye a L-HT kit from distance he backs up wile burning and BOOM 6 tk i just cuten stop rofling the guy hade all the time in the world to give his team kits to stay in cover and wait a little wile before moving off to somwere he whanted to be instead off suporting his team ( i would like to point out APC MEANS ARMORED PERSONAL CARRIER and not PERSONAL L33T KIDDI ARMORED AUTOMATIC SNIPER PAWNZ EVRYTHING RIFLE FOR YOUR OWN USE WITOUT A INCLUDET SPAWN POINT) take a Tank for that, they are used that way enyway, its a bloody suport vihicle!!!!!!!!!!!!
It would be nice iff the APC drivers dont have to put the pedal to the metal instantly when people jump out off the apc iff you have a problem with this its proberly because you dident bring the people inside cover but are loading them off out in the middle off the open desert huh? otherwise wait 10 sek would that actully hurt aha i see you wouldet get 30 kills but only 25 kills perhabs but again ho cares its a team effort to win right :wink: and your the one bringing your team to the fight so suport them! Or you might aswell kill them yourself.

4:The MANUAL, for your own health iff your neew to the mod do yourself a huge favor READ IT!!!!!! its worth it its improves your gameplay and you might discover somthing you dident know, and you will also avoid ingame flames from people yelling at you to read it so now you know so iff you you havent read it, offcause you will read it before getting ingame next time im sure.

5: You shall not move the spawn cars in assult on mestia or the like map, into open terrain or into bases especialy not iff they are occupied bye the enemy! this can cause heart attack and you might become blind on both eyes from spam/flaming for a good reason.

6:Flashbangs i would love iff they hade a 1-1,5 sek longer fuse then curently i love them they are useful especialy in this mod on a lot off the maps but its like i can newer get it all the way were i whant it to i mean i throw and it goes were i whant but always blows up rather quickly after you release and newer gets to the destination you hade in mind, and iff you throw a normal nade they seem to take longer to blow up, i dont now for sure perhabs the normal nades throw speed is faster?

7: ohh and 2 times zoom on Tanks is a no go in my opinion i wount get into detail i did that in my first thread here, a good ider whas the 30 sek timer to move from drivers seet to gunners and back and so on. so we dont have theese magicly repaird tank evrytime the get a little dmg. this would improve the infantery chances on taking on the tank then him driving away comming back with full health again. well iff you into this topic alot read my first thread on theese forums they basicly cover most off this, its just a huge problem in my eyes at the moment.

Enyway thats what i hade in store this time ;-) enything to discuss or are you not agreeing with me, make a point etc im up for the discussion and can make alot more points off wiev then i have already done, and im ready to defend my points off view.

I would like to point out this is still the best for vBF2 i have ever seen and it still rocks so bad, and i cant wait for the next release as usual.

I also think usuing your shovel and helping building the commander assets shut be more rewarding in point wise this seems most off the time to be the only way to get people to help most off the time sadly.
Though i think it brings in som fun to the game.

And pls doo so iff a sqaud leader leaves or som other not to smart sqaud mate leaves the squad and your playing on the insurgent side with Civic´s and your playing a civic. That you dont die because off there stupidity please i think i have been instantly killed 5 times so far in the last week from people that became sqaud leaders and no we dont look first we just leaves and rejoins the squad and kills off the next in line hoo is playing a civic´s. There shut be a punishement for that in the way that they shut get a TK, or remove it so only after you die and became a sqaud leader you cant respawn as a civic again, the instant death seems rather wierd honestly.

I agree... fighting on al basrah isn't anymore centered in the city but anywhere else...
sucks to be infantry on Al basrah...

Warrior=IFV=Infantry Fighting Vehicle=not APC

But anyways, yeah on Basrah the city combat is almost completely gone. But that is mainly the Insurgents fault. They have so many tickets and they get 100 more every minute because of civilian casualties, so they can just run out to the Vehicle Checkpoint and capture it quite easy.

1. I agree that Basrah is too centered around the Checkpoint, but to what i do not agree is about the APC's hardly going into the city. Somewhere I heard a line concerning medieval urban battles: "You know what they call a horseman in a narrow alley? Lunch." About the same applies for a 6m long,3m broad and 24 ton heavy vehicle in quite narrow streets. There are so many blind angles that it is very easy for an Ambusher or a RPG-carrier to get close enough for the IED/Shot.

2. It seems that you have bad luck with the servers, as of lately I hardly was teamkilled, and never out of purpose. But anyway,hardly something we can constructively "discuss".

3. As mentioned above,at least the Warrior is in fact an IFV, but I agree that APC's are ofteh used too agressively, although sometimes also not agressively enough.

4. What to say, you are right.

6.Alas I hardly had the ability to see this things in action,but your suggestion sounds sensible.

7. I think the zoom is alright, today's tank battles ar fought at distances like >2km. And we have some kind of what you have suggested, you can't fire for around 30 secs after getting in the gunner seat.

8. I personally could not care less about how many points I get,as long as we win and I know have helped my team to win I am rewarded enough.

9.Yeah, a bit higher timer on this would be nice.

Most games on Basrah is the Checkpoint just emtpy noone defending it, as soon as the first Warrior gets jihadded Checkpoint is lost because of the mob of fanatic invincible civilians and insurgents

The map needs work...I do however like the mob tactics for insurgents. Kinda seems like they'd fight that way.

Or I get in a TW+VOIP squad, who's SL decides he'll defend the VCP, since he's aware of its importance, then the whole team brings their IFVs and Snipers to us and you got the whole team sitting at VCP defending it and no one is looking for caches.

Move out, they all disperse and this time no one is defending the VCP :/

Mestia has no spawn cars, but I still agree on 'spawn car=/=one man's taxi to death'

I don't want to leak anything, but Ive 'heard', that Crewman wrench will be removed ;)

Year i confused the map i dident mean assult on mestia sry for that but the other one with British and insurgents with no APC/IFV only spawn cars and jeeps and the british commander /suply Truck, and now i still cant remember what the name whas again, ohh well.

And ok i can more or less understand the IFV (no apc) on Al bashra map, thought its still is a spawn point for troops and they need to get to city somehowe iff the VCP spawn is gone with a single knife blow they dont have mutch choice doo they then to use the IFV. ;-) but to be honest i dident mean Al Bashra only in this case i meant maps like EJOD and other maps with lets say no British forces at all there called APC´s and 85% or so of the time not used for what they were surpose to be used for :-/ lets say a map like omar beach i have seen 2 filled apc in the middle off the ocean between the shore and carrier and the only choice spawners hade were to swim and close to beach get killed it whas a bloody slaughter i tell you and i have seen this preaty mutch offen actully, in different scenarios and maps.

And to the 3 thread this whas not a Rant thread! I am trying to bring out iders and see what other people opinions are around things i think whas valid to discuss.
