Promote better squad movement

Recently I've noticed a lot of slow down on the servers where squads are concerned.
Planning ahead, fast movement and safest routes aren't being considered. Troops are stopping too often to exchange fire, allowing the enemy they kill to respawn over and over, whilst their own troops are depleted.
If you can play (and I mean REALLY play) then I suggest some spreading of the love across the servers. Don't just hit the same servers, with the same players and the same squad lineups. There are some happy, contented players out there who appreciate what the mod is and they need some guiding to fulfill their capacity.
Get out there, guide squads around, find the balance between a democracy and a marxist method of teaching them so they don't get their backs up and get them upto SPEED!!!
This mod expands by word of mouth and we have to grab the good players and show them what the mod can achieve gameplay wise so the love spreads.

My opinion? It's all about SL respawn.

so the squad leader respawn should be removed?

Shut up fool.
My moto is SPEED SPEED SPEED! This game is all about speed, be where the enemy least expects it, since all we have to do is cap flags to win.

Seen a disgusting tactic, where SL sends his squad into a head-on firefight, while he sneaks past. Then the dead squad spawns on him and counter-attacks/moves on/flanks.
The enemy think, they got rid of the squad and that all is clear.
SL spawn=fail
I think, SL spawn should be allowed in a squad of 2 or 3, since 4 can already lay down a RP.

a longer sl spawn might be sensible - if there were a way to have it wait 15 extra seconds to spawn off the sl.. which I doubt!
I'm always trying to lead squads of mixed but communicative players - if people just run off and do their own thing I kick 'em out.
furthermore, I am ever reminding my squad to concentrate on the objective and not to bunch - just tell them a grenade will always find its way to the centre of the group, and if they're all close it'll be all over

I found out, that while Rifleman may be mini-snipers, the scope gives them the tunnel vision of a sniper.
I knifed a Chinese Rifleman in teh face yesterday on 7 Gates, because he was looking through the scope and wasnt aware of his surroundings.
Also, not engaging is some times the best tactic - let them run away from the CP, while you walk in and recapture it, leaving them in a WTF stance

Well about that SL respawn. Would it be a idea that two or three squad members needs to be alive before the rest can spawn at the squadleader. That way he doesnt just circle around the back leaving the squadmembers die in a firefight.

How about distance to SL?
That way you couldnt just die and spawn on the SL on the other side of the map.

how about we leave the SLer spawn discussion to the appropriate topic ?

Iv always followed this moto and not to front but iv had Most kills almost all the time by just doing my own thing and taking point in the squad cause most of the time im pretty quick shooter and it only makes sense to take point not to mention il be out front anytime playing.
When im SL though i find that im not as useful because i cant be out front getting the kills for my team and whenever iv led a squad theres always been those guys that never listen, never spawn on sl, and just suck. I miss .4 because i had none of this everyone had a mic, listened, was decent player.
I just dont like where the mod has gone in a community sense and wish it didnt gain the popularity it did.

I tried that on some random server, i think it was "WENROFF" or something along those lines.
I joined a squad, no one was talking, so I just said, what the hell, might as well. I made a new squad, grabbed a vodnik, and went in the mountains. When people joined my squad, as soon as I started explaining my plan, they all left.
Unfortunatley, I couldn't get my H-AT back, and there were no squads using VoIP, so I left.

Disgusting? That looks like a great idea to me. I bet it worked, too.

Actually, the most realistic thing to do would be to eliminate ALL respawning. If you die, your dead.
See, sometimes realism can destroy things

Were once upon a time, there was this mod for the original UT (Unreal Tournament) called Infiltration that had exactly that. It was lots of fun to play (even though the graphics were not the greatest) but very annoying to die (which is why people tried to avoid dying). It was a very successful mod in its time until the DEV team no longer had the time to work on it.
(Pssst: it had free aim as well.)
