new gamemode

i was wondering if it could be possible to make a new gamemode where you dont only have to destroy weapon caches but strategical things like bridges, AA- guns, commander-assets and stuff like that.... these orders should be different from map to map and should be given automatically (HQ).
Example: Any map (should be big) sth like al basrah:
Order Nr. 1: Destroy Enemy Airdefenses (I prefer AA-vehicles like tunguska cause its more realistic than placing stationary AA-weapons)
The Defenders get additional tickets if they hold it long enough(lets say 10 tickets per minute).........if the attackers manage to destroy the AA-vehicles(which wont respawn) they dont get additional tickets but new vehicles (it would be logical if Air vehicles would begin to spawn then) lets say they get 1 A-10 and 1 Blackhawk or whatever

Order 2: Destroy enemy artillery.......same as above (but they have airsupport now)

Order 3: Destroy Certain buildings like Bridges or Commander-Assets...same as above (but lets say the attackers get 1 or 2 tanks now)

Order4: Detroy enemy weapon-caches ---- not so many as now in insurgency but bigger ones and better hidden



theses orders are just examples and can be replaced by differnt tasks but i think the order of tasks i gave is quite logical (at least to me)

I think this kind of stuff, a lot of creative room besides these suggestions, could eventually be the bread and butter of PR. Now that we've begun to get some of the tech down with PR, big maps etc, it'd be cool to see some new stuff done with Objective based maps/gamemodes. be nice to see some cool stuff come out of the community in this area.

I do like the objective based ideas like insurgency ammo caches. I think this idea in some form has been thrown around before. I know the bridge defence/repair idea was put forward. I think Eggman said something about working on bridges for a future release?

We could have Dambusters 2 - Jinping 1 Hydropower Station gets twatted!

Would like to see some sabotage based missions though. would add a nice bit of variety. Could have defence based maps where you have to capture strategic points to get hardware to destroy stuff etc. Not sure if that's a bit WW2... would be nice though.

The bridge system is being worked on though apparently, they have some pretty big ideas it seems.

I'd like to see some US vs Insurgent maps where the US has to hold a certain area and the insurgents have to break through the check points (maybe 2? north and east) and blow up some buildings etc.

Kashan would be cool 2

USMC
- need to clear out AA in the mountains
- f16 can presicion bomb taliban Compounds in the mountains
- USMC can move out to clear out an Huge training camp (somewhere else in that big mountain)

, and Insurgents should defend their mountain hidouts and their should be an big amount of AA and TOW stuff.
,and it would be cool becouse it encourages almost all types off kits to use and add an reality factor of taliban battles with the mountains

Very cool I like it...maybe the camps could be centered around a Spawn bunker....the goal of the map is to blow up the AA and X amount of bunkers in the mountains. Might have to make bunkers a little tougher though.

The thing is, will the objectives have to be completed in a certain order or just get them done in any order? I would imagine an attacking squad camping out artillery waiting to be destroyed until the AA guns are down...

I would like to go away from numerous objectives to maybe 1-2 centralized ones. That way the whole force is fighting each other. It'd be crucial that maps are designed well enough so that it doesn't become a spam fest though.

a objective game mode has always been in the works, we hope to have one for v0.7. OGT was kinda made for it :p
