Ok Well I was just on the fh2 forums and saw a thread talking about ships and it said a coder for them made a ship for the mod in 2005 that could have planes on them that could fly off. Does that mean its possible for a plane To have vehicles on them because the ships move too and planes take off from them. Just pointing out please don't flame. If I'm wrong just say why.

What I understand that you suggest planes could take off from moving vehicles like aircarrier? If it's so, it's not possible with bf2 engine, HC

The idea of big warships and subs has come up before and been dismissed. Is that what your suggesting? The thread title seems to be out of thin air in relation to what you posted??????

A la BattleShips mod.

The way I read the OP was that he is suggesting that this might somehow be a workaround for the fact that players/vehicles can't be on top/inside of other vehicles while moving. For example, being able to put vehicles inside a cargo plane or riding in the Merlin without strapping yourself into a seat position. All I've ever heard is that its hard coded, but who knows.

Would be nice -- I'd like that hover craft thing.

He knows what I'm talking about. But think its possible? They did it with fh2. One of the dev made a ship that could carry planes that could take off. I think its possible. Still trying to think of a way around the plane or helicopter carrying people without sitting.

Well first you have to think of a way around it.

Well nothing is impossible if theres a way to make it hardcoded theres a way to take off the hard code, in other words by pass it. Come up with ideas. I contributed and I believe it would work.

Even considering.
A helo flys rather fast yes?
A boat moves rather slow yes?
Can people not stand in the RIBs boats if its going slow? Or stand on a tank when its going slow?
The aircraft carrier probably moves rather slow as well meaning. It has less a chance to glitch and cause damage or other things while the helicopter has a constantly moving and shifting base to place it on.
Just how I a person that knows nothing of codeing and just done ton of stupid things like see how fast a tank gets going before it kills you, sees it.

I can't see the point in this personally though. If it were a case of having say Oman 3 times bigger and having to anchor a carrier on the coast after sailing it a mile or two or whatever then it might be worthwhile. But that would mean making the aircraft carrier destructible so it would actually have a point, then you'd get loads of bored MEC guys waiting to actually do something while the limited amount of jets does their best to nail the carrier or whatever.
That's all I can think of for a reason for having them and it's pretty terrible.
