I would like to see a US based INF/INS server. IMO the infantry is the most entertaining aspect of this mod.

Insurgency mode is fun, but only like 2 servers are regularly running this mode and they are not that populated. One in particular starts to lag when it fills up which ruins the fun.

I like maps like EJOD (when its not armoured up), Operation Phoenix (under rated IMO), Mestista, Sunset City, Al Basrah, ect.

Maps with jets and helos turn to **** because anything with cool toys causes people to camp them to use them so you lose a good chunk of your team.

Any other infantry die hards around?

Yeah, played on a 16 size map once, a hell lotta fun but the rounds only lasted for about 10 minutes.
But I still like Basrah and bigger maps best, for the realism and the cool toys lol.

Yea I ping 200 to IGI which sucks when I get 30-60 on US servers.

Me but I like combined arms.

I don't really bother playing with all the toys, rounds with lots of vehicles only work when both teams have experienced players using VOIP like on teamwork nights IMO.

Also as Scarface said lots of players just camp at the vehicles and sit about and argue who owns the most in them which totally unbalances the teams.

TBh , Nothing beats a communicative, well lead, 6 man squad, for me anyway.

You know, despite being a self proclaimed talented pilot, I always go infantry. The reason: If I don't, I'm worried there won't be many good VOIP INF squads.

While I can no doubt fly better than the vast majority of aircraft campers, I'm just not going to resort to it. That's one thing PR needs to fix. Some kind of automatic queue system.

However, as an infantry guy, I do LOVE fighting against tanks, APCs, choppers and planes, because I always always always get a guy with heavy AT in my squad on EJOD, and get two guys with AA kits whenever I play insurgent on Basrah. I really enjoy the big explosion from taking out an APC or tank, and that if you're prepared for it, it's nothing to fear. Also, people don't camp for tanks or APCs. They might rush them, but it's very very rare they'll camp em.

I like US infantry battles the most because I really enjoy the new M16 for rifleman and officer, but I think that all US kits should get the same M16 zoom, to counter the power of the MEC rifleman's scoped G3. It just makes sense.

Personally, I want to see more 64 player N. American servers. TG is the only one out there. And I'm starting to hate TG and their draconian rules, like no attacking a flag that is out of play, which is just absurd, because you can cut off the enemy's reinforcements and such, ground their aircraft and stop their tanks and APCs from rolling out. But oh well.

Anyways, I'm ranting a bit.

That's cause tanks don't fly.

We're not US but we have devoted our server to 16 player maps, infantry/teamwork. Populated 2-3 times a week at present

How can I say it, you should be less here but more there, please dont misunderstand me.

Tv2 has a pure inf server.
