Baserape / Enemy Proximity

When there are too many people close to a flag in BF2, the spawn point turns red and people cant spawn there.
I was wondering if this could be made so when there are a certain amount of enemy near a spawn (CP, RP, FB, Bunker, Truck etc) the spawn would turn red and people cant spawn there.
This number would obviously be lower for RPs, being maybe 1 or 2 enemies and higher for bases such as 6 +. This could maybe help stop baserape and dumbasses unnecassarily spawning and dying costing their team tickets.
Pretty much, if an enemy has encircled a base/firebase or whatever, its not going to be able to be reinforced so to say.
Thoughts?

sounds like a genious idea but then again, it would probaly be quiet hard unless u got a uberscript `?

Hmm, good idea, but then again I'm 'for' "spawn raping" in PR (though I've never done it yet...)
Its just that - PR is based on reality, right. and in real life armies attack headquarters and such if its possible.. thats just the way it is. It sucks to be spawn killed but whatever makes your team win, and saves lives, right?

like I said I havent done it so far but still I think it should be legit in PR.

Whenever I know I have enemy near near my RP I VOIP to warn not to spawn over there. And eventually the RP is taken out by the enemy.
Sorry mate but I find it unrealistic. Just because enemy is near a spawnpost they shouldn't be granted the ability for you not spawning there. Also everyone on the map will see red dot's and know where the enemy is moving. Just use VOIP and speak with squad and commander.

I do like the idea, it simulates controlling territory....when you control an area, guys don't magically pop out of nowhere constantly widdling your forces down. I hate that aspect of PR, maybe this isn't the best solution but its a step in the right direction.

I like it. I like even more the idea that people will organize a fast counter-attack when they see the Spawn Point is going red.

When a enemy squad is near your RL that doesn't mean they control the area. In real life army's do a hell of a battle before abandoning a post they have so why should an enemy have the control of your posts just because they are close. Doesn't mean they have the ability to take over the RL. A good squad and team will stand up and put a good fight before considering they need to abandon.

This may also stop the bulding of Bunkers, etc. in the middle of a CP. they would try to hide it so people can spawn?
You can also make it so you can still spawn if enemies are around, if you have friendlies in the area so we dont just have controlling of areas without a battle. If the area is clear of friendlies, its in enemy hands and therefore cannot be spawned upon.

I'm undecided on this. On one hand I like that if the enemy has surrounded your position no reinforcements can make it in. On the other hand if someone stumbles upon your rally point, can hear it but doesn't know it's exact location you are not able to spawn in and have a chance to take him down. I don't think it will stop rp camping by the enemy, they will just move a little further away as they learn the distance to not "red out" the rp.

I like this idea.
I really dislike in current version that when your squad finds enemy bunker and you do not have a demolition expert with you, you can only camp it while enemies are magically appearing near the bunker. It ends only when those poping enemies take your squad down or when some of them spawns as a specops or engineer so you can get some explosives.

this idea came up some time ago when we where first thinking of RPs etc. egg didnt like it too much thou i cant remember his reasons.

Bunker,Firebase= Go Red
Rally Points,Spawn Trucks,APCs= No Go Red.
