Ironsights/Scope

Hi, this is my first suggestion post, it's basically my take on a post by Outlawz - a couple of days ago in which he suggested being able to change between Scope and Ironsight much like changing rounds on the shotgun - and a suggestion made many times before, of being able to use the unlock system as to obtain alternate primary weapons. I would have posted there but since I have other ideas I didn't think it would get read..
Basically I liked the idea of being able to swap Scopesfor Ironsights depending on situation, but the thought of being able to sucessfully fit/take off a scope in a millisecond is totally unrealistic.
How about at the start of the round being able to pick the choice of either Ironsights or Scope through unlock system? Please discuss.
P.S. Sorry if this has been suggested before, I did search..

It has been suggested before, but no worries on not being able to find things, it seems the latest update has done strange things to the forum.
Anyway, Personally I like the idea and support its implimentation if possible.

yeah, I thought it would have been, it's hardly the most genius-like suggestion ever I suppose.

Would be lovely

Aye, but removing scope on the field has said to be unrealistic since you'd have to calibrate the sights.

Still, would be nice to have a few different weapons to pick from, the Spec Ops for example could have the option of either Carbine or SMG.

Cant they just make it like the sniper with two levels of zoom where on the first right click its iron sights on top of the scope or somthing and then on the second its the actual scope sight?

Using the unlock system is the best to use imo, if possible.

Well, obviously it is possible, because EoD:2 did it, it's just a matter of figuring out how to do it.

You wouldn't technically be on the field yet, I am not suggesting being able to swap sights on the field of battle, only at respawns, at the kit selection.

Nah that would mean death in quick engagements, youd have to be constantly click-click-clicking right mouse. Plus I don't know if it's just me but if you right click multiple times, extremely fast, it doesn't always recognise each click.
PS. Would someone please enlighten me on how to put in multiple quotes in one post

the number next to the ''

Would just ''[QUOTE='Berry[13thmeu]'' work? Thanks

Then make it a right-click to bring up ironsights, and a right-hold to bring up the scope. Toggle Ironsights / Hold Scope.
If this was done, to go from scope to shoot-from-the-hip it'd be a case of release right, then click right.
Let's face it - in CQB situations, being 'scope-up' is a bad move.

Decidedly off-topic, but...

The number to the right of the name is a post reference... so you can click it and go back to the original post.
If you want to do multiple quotes you need to do something like :
[quot3=blahblah]
Quoted Text from blahblah
[/quot3]
[quot3=meepmeep]
Quoted Text from meepmep
[/quot3]
Resulting in :
blahblah wrote:
Quoted Text from blahblah
meepmeep wrote:
Quoted Text from meepmep
-=-
Nested quotes are similar :
[quot3=blahblah]
Blah Blah Blah, and Meep said :
[/quot3=meepmeep]
Meep Meep Meep
[/quot3]
[/quot3]
resulting in :
blahblah wrote:

meepmeep wrote:

And there you go - we now return you to your normally scheduled PR-discussion

Ironsights AND scope on the same rifle? how would that work?

There are some scope setups IRL that allow you to use the Ironsights for close engagements rather than using the main scope, of course, this wouldnt be a problem with the M4 and such since the red dot is a CQB attachment and aids in target aquisition during CQB engagements, which reminds me, any chance of getting a similar item for the MEC and Chinese?

Hmm I don't like this idea much, plus it would require new animations.
However, the unlock system SEEMS really simple to introduce.

Having the ability to pick from a number of weapons would increase the originality and independency of squads within PR i think, as i said earlier, it would be great to have the option of either a rifle, carbine or SMG for the spec ops class, and having the ability to choose the shotgun or rifle for the engineers.

Can't be done that way

QBZ series have no reflex sight capabilities. Same with the G3.

If we implimented the unlock system like EOD2, then you would need to have that unlock in vinilla. I, for example, dont play vinilla and dont have all the unlocks (i have non lol) and therefore it would be unfair for people.

since thats out of the question. why not give USMC Spec ops the regular iron sights like other Spec Ops guns. the army will already have the M4s so no need to remodel. maybe use the scoped M4 as a pickup kit or requestable Spec Ops that is limited, and better than the non limited stuf.
example C4 instead of slams, offensive grenades, no smoke. buts thats a different topic.
