There's been a lot of talk going on over which team Russia should be put in, as the devs and the modders obviously want them to fight the Militia, meaning they would be put in Team 2 with US and UK. This would make them unable to fight the US or UK due to coding (Thats how i see the situation)

Current Team 1: MEC PLA Militia Insurgents
Current Team 2: Britain USMC

What i propose is that if its not to late, the Militia team be moved from Team 1 into Team 2, and Russia be placed in Team 1. This would allow Russia to fight all 3 of Militia US and UK, plus other teams that come in, especially as the Canadian mod may be to make or have started making an arctic map.

It would not have to mean the Militia and the other Team 2 sides were working together or have some sort of agreement.

i guess alot of ppl still dislike the fact the Russia gonna fight PLA...but atleast Russia is gonna be in PR :]

Thats the plan. The decision has been made already, and I don't expect Geze will change his mind. No matter how much these people who seem to think the Cold War is still on spam up the forums.

Russia vs USMC conflict, thats what i would like to see on next maps...

Russia will be fighting Militia and China

Uk will also fight Militia on some situations therefore i guess it cannot be changed

While I know it's not the Cold war or anything anymore I though Russia got on a hell of alot better with China then any NATO country (asked if they wanted to join in 1999 but said they weren't interested).

Why not have Russia v The West? The majority of PR is fiction so why not have history based fiction.

I agree with Cheppi. I think people who buy the whole "Russia is our buddy now" thing are incorrect. Russia has always had a strained relationship with other European powers, even before communism. There's always been a good deal of Slavic nationalism and pan-Slavism, and every Russian ruler has had to cater to this to some degree to keep power. With tensions rising again between Russia and Britain, as well as Russia and Canada, I don't see the suggestion Cheppi's made as ridiculous by any stretch. I think having the militia fight China would be perfectly reasonable, as China does have problems with Muslim separatist guerrillas in their Western frontier. If MEC were more pan-Arabist than Islamist, they could be seen fighting a Slavic-Muslim guerrilla movement.

Given that guerrilla movements almost always have regional concerns at their forefront, it makes more sense really for them to be fighting regional powers than it does for them to be fighting GB or the USA.

And given America's penchant for aiding guerrilla movements in order to destabilize their greater enemies, it would make sense for them to ally themselves with the PR-universe's militia.

Didn't Russia just sign an agreement with China amoungst other countries to form their own NATOesq alliance?! I think so, so why would they be fighting each other?

i never said Russia were our friends, i just think its something a bit overdone. The whole "Russia vs Teh R3st" gets old very quickly and turns even the most interesting game into just another standard Russia vs the world scenario which is so overplayed.

Unfortunately, what you have posted has already been discussed many times.

The end result of those aforementioned discussions was that what you suggested would not happen.

Russia VS PLA is rather unrealistic.

Russia VS any nation on the same continent is,IMHO, very unrealistic.

then again i dont care about a side story, i just want to shoot me some commies

Yeah... Russia Vs China... that's like saying UK should fight US because the British are still angry about Americans dumping good tea away at the Boston Tea Party...

I guess China must be the ultimate superpower in the future considering it takes US, UK, Russian, Canada and Poland to fight China
