Would it be possible to make it so whenever you say something over the squads voip channel it is also an ambient sound? that way you have to actually try to be quiet if you're sneaking up on someone. Also another idea of mine is that when you say something over the voip channel if a squadmate is very far away from you it will be quieter or start braking. up it might promote squad unity and encourage the squad to stick together. btw i searched in the forums and in the list and didn't find any ideas like this.

but with the current limitations its not possible to do this, the VOIP is hard coded and cant be modded.

Yet, you miss what everyone else is talking about, they are giving those acronyms because the OP spelled it Viop, instead of Voip

...back on topic... well, when you really think about it, having ambient sound in the voip is actually possible... just stick your mic really close to your speaker/headset or turn your game volume really high when you speak

and same thing with the break-up/faint sound... just mumble and speak away from the mike XD

its not impossible , on Flight Simulator 10 , ATC sounds are like idk radio piched , cant think of that one word , but yeah anyways limitations to modding probably prevents this from happening

VOIP is a key component in this mod, ur at a disadvantage if u dont use it...

Remove text talk from the game and have VOIP only.

I think the chat is essential no matter what. Global might be nice to get rid of but think about getting names of basecampers, hackers, etc from team to team...

It actually is possible. There is this program called mumble (something similiar to teamspeak).
