could the devs make the game unbalanced so the us have better stuff but the mec or Chinese have the better players who know how to play and do it well so on side have weapons and tech for power when the other has skill so in balances out in a way.

P.S. for the 128 layer thing couldn't the devs asked dice just on how to do that and nothing else so it's not the full bf2 engine just the amount of players aloud.

couldn't you asked dice just for that little bit of code and since they aloud it. it shouldn't be a big deal plus a good mod could sell more games. you must speak money.

How would the game know which players are the best?

So basically you're saying give the less skilled players the best vehicles and give the rest the shlt ones?

You know trying to avoid a warning by misspelling foul language should be an extra warning in and of itself! ;)

But I do agree with you though, implying that one team should consist of "better" players by simply being on a specific side is just not realistic.
Not to mention impossible to code. :p

Source code is all or nothing. They could give us that little bit of code, but we wouldn't be able to use it without all the rest of the code too.

DICE also wouldn't add 128 player support in a patch, otherwise it would have been in the initial game.

Basically DICE isn't very responsive to mod requests, so anything revolving around asking DICE for a favor is pretty much out of the question. :)

Can't we all donate some money and buy the code? :D

I'd be glad to donate, to get the word 'hardcoded' banned from these forums!

I take, you like to teamswitch, ye?
And the Chinese QBZ95 isnt a poop weapon, that cant shoot anything, its actually better in some aspects (5.8mm munition over 5.56mm)
G3 is 7.62mm and thats how they are in real life and this is Project REALITY, not Project 1337U.S.MARINEZ vs commie-faction-with-poop-guns

I'm sure the source code for BF2 would cost somewhere in the range of $100 000 - $300 000 US dollars - that's a lot of money.

If you're a millionaire and want to sponsor the team, please do :p .
Is it possible for you guys - the PR devs maybe kindly ask some companies around that willing to sponsor your mod so hopefully you have enough money to buy the BF2 source code from DICE ?

Doubtful that any company would want to sponsor the mod, unless they got to jam it full of advertising for them, like Intel did in the latest vBF2 map.

Also, for all we know the BF2 source code is not for sale. Its never been put up for sale, etc. Sure you can throw money at it and hope they sell it, but thats unlikely given past actions of DICE/EA.

Temporary ban If ever I saw one!

On a related note, (so I don't get a warning) I don't think giving the worst players the best gear. That's screaming out vechicles lasting all of 2 minutes.

If EA/DICE aren't going to sell their BF2 Source Code to anyone then you might as well invest the donations on a new gaming engine ? Maybe ask John D. Carmack (creator of ID Software) to give you guys a hand ;)

On the other hand if you want 128 players on a single server maybe even more may I suggest PR switch over to the Armed Assault platform ?
