Hi guys,

I don'T know if you noticed but whenever sitting in a Blackhawk as pilot I f*ckin loose my nerves because I constantly hear the goddamn Minigun.
It's not only fu... freakin loud it's just simply annoying hearing it the whole frEckin time cause whenever some goofbag lets the gun spin it will sound like shooting to the pilot!!
I can't move unnoticed with people shooting from the minigun nor will I move into enemy territory when I'm thinking that people are shooting from the mg since I don't want to get all those minus points from the vehicle and those 6 others who're gonna be shot down...

I wouldn't even mind if you'd take the guns off the Blackhawk since they're no real treat at all ... or maybe just fix that bug

They will be replaced by M240s, so I hear...

No, in the distant future we'll get a real Blackhawk with M240, current model cannot be edited and its actually a Seahawk

There is a sound difference between shooting and spinning, even for the pilot - turn up your speakers

actually, you do not have to edit the moddel to change the asset guns, and it IS possible to give the Blackhawk usual MGs, since it has already been done (look in the BFSP forums for the files) Assets and childobjects can easyly added to an existing moddel, without ediding it, just look at NAW's Blackhawks, they added supplyboxes, Wings with rocketpods and wings with extra fuel

I'd love being able to press "E" for those annoying mini-gun firers. Sadly enough, I can't. And most of them have learned by now that parachutes were taken out, so don't follow my command to bail at 200 feet. >_<

Well,adding might be possible, but it seems that the problem lies in altering or replacing stuff in the actual model (like the M240 will require) is not possible.

Be it possible or not, it'd be great anyways if we at last get proper Blackhawks instead of Seahawks

seriously - squad mate told me that he wasnt shooting but only spinning the minigun. To me and others in BH it sounded like shooting.
However I'd like it a lot if you could change some things for the pilots - like making it possible to turn around, grab the pistol and shoot those annoying slobs in the face. Or maybe some kind of button which will make those guys fall out the chopper - trap door kinda thing
However I wouldn't mind it having a BH without any guns at all...

OP's absolutely right. Minigun noobs shoot around senselessly every time I or my squad members get in a blackhawk. Every. Single. F*cking. Time.

Do people not realise how distracting those useless miniguns are for the pilot?
Not to mention they give away the Blackhawk's position from even further than its normal operating sound does?!?

I say either take those guns out, or integrate an eject button in the cockpit so he can boot those minigun-whoring mofos (yeah, yeah, I know...I'm just venting). I swear the first thing players do when they get in the BH is spin up the guns: "Weeeee, I gots me a flying tank, weeeeeeee!" BAM BAM BAM BAM. "Oh noes!!! Noob pilot!!!" Blackhawk down.

The addition is possible from what I can understand.

In the pic above, you can see that a weapon has been switched from the M249 to The Minigun.

And in this picture, rockets have been added. If you look closely, you can see that this variant of the blackhawk is not mounting any weapons in the window, so removing the minigun is possible.

The real question now is-Will the Devs find this to be a valuable expendature of their time? I certainly hope so.

wat about the BH from the beta, cos that looked cool,its had rockets and mingun

or give the pilot an switch to activate the mini guns
i dont think its real and possible but could be an solution

If "Looking Cool" is Realistic, then we would be firing Dual M16s

Anyway, I doubt there is a System to get rid in this there might be.. but typing "DON'T FIRE THE MINIGUNS" would suffice.

It's probably a custom model.
