Server Side Options & Bunny Hopping

Just off a couple hour playing session in vanilla BF2 and it never ceases to amaze me how pathetic the basic game is. Is there any chance that in the future there might be some server side options available for imposing class limits and eliminating some or all vehicles from the maps? I'm still interested in seeing how you tweak the vehicles, but I'm pretty much convinced that outside of team/clan type matches where you have practiced people working together that there's no place for a lot of that stuff in the game.
Another thing that really is starting to bother me is the bunny hopping. It's absolutely startling how much of that shit goes on, and it's even more startling that it actually seems to work for people. I don't know what, if any, workarounds you have planned for this, but for heaven's sake I hope you come up with something. I think the increased weapon lethality in PRMM is going to help a lot, but when you have to hit a guy 5-6 times to kill him with your BF2 airsoft M16 it's ludicrous.
EDIT: Oh, and is there a decent tutorial out there for modding kits, weapon damage, etc.? Nothing too intense, but just basic manipulation. Is it anything like the simple .tik file modding for MoH, or is it a lot more complex than that? I'm tempted to tinker around with it myself just to see what I can see, but I don't even know where to begin. Thanks.
