We may soon require some one who can read/wright Chinese and English to help us sort out a issue we are having.

is there any one here who can read/wright Chinese and English who can help with this?

main thing you would need to do is translate messages we want to send and we receive, cheers! :D

But speaking Chinese and able to read Chinese is very different! I can speak a bit.. (Went to China for 8 months last year), but reading, no way! I heard to read all regular messages you need to know 4000-5000 characters! :o

I totally agree with this point. I do speak chinese cos its sort of like my mother tonuge. But I have totally no confidence if you were to ask me to translate something like the PR menu into chinese. The reason would be because the menu includes some rare words which we dont really use in day to day conversation and also some words have to direct translation. I would recommend some regular PR players from China. Have heard them communicate over VOIP a few times and I'm pretty sure they're capable of doing this.

I could probably go knock on some doors and find someone. I swear to god ... I'm the only non-asian person in this building right now.

if you want i can go to each server and ask everyone if there is anyone who can read and write chinese and english . and if i find someone im going to ask him to visit PR forumes and help you guys out :) . it shouldnt be that hard to find a chinese player!!! or wait a minute  why dont we go to vanilla chinese servers and ask for help there, that way we might be able to bring some chinese players to PR!!!!

I can speak mandarin pretty well, and I can read/write kinda decently. But it really depends what you need translated. I took simplified(which China uses now) in college so I guess I can help you guys out a bit. I know how to look stuff up and the sort. Or worse comes to worse I can ask my parents haha.

What dialect do you need, Cantonese or Mandarin? My fiancee is fluently multilingual.

First language Cantonese
Second language French
Third language English

She can read, write, and speak well in all three.

Well, written is the same universally, thus anyone from any part of China can read, even if their dialect is different.

MoshPanda, you really need to stop resurrecting dead topics. This one hasn?t been used in nearly four years.
