I can't count the number of times I've either been rammed by a soloer while trying to land a group of squad mates, or while someone (like a 13th MEU admin today) was flying one around, and wasn't doing anything to help the team out. I asked him to land so I could fly it and use it for my squad, but he just asked me if I was stoned. He then proceeded to fly around the map in the merlin at top speed, skimming the treetops, flying out of bounds twice and putting me into a bleed, then receiving small arms fire forcing me to bail out over the river. I told him it wasn't fair to do that and my squad rallied and called him a loser and told him not to do that, and he BANNED everyone in my squad.

Please, help me in the name of god!

hes an admin on the server, its his server, dont go in there if you cant handle it to be perfectly honest mate.

As for solo pilots, what would you suggest be a solution to the problem?

maybe you can't leave the helipad from which the heli spawned without at least one (maybe two in bh or merlin) extra person? thats the only thing I can really think of. but seems like a fix if it could be implemented.

yha i was on the server today and some guy rammed my chopper with my whole squad in it, the server needs some more rules.

i can see players getting incredibly bored with sitting in a chopper while their mate flies it.

um. what?

would you rather go walk and hold down the W key for 15 minutes, or take a nice fast chopper ride and get there in 30 seconds?

or would you rather (if you were flying) be taking a whole squad to a base, getting that rush of awesomeness while your squad moves out and caps, and then get PWNT by some dude in a solo chopper having LULZ?

i stay away from helicopters for those exact reasons, lol.

Hm.. What?? He was soloing in a MERLIN??

Maybe he was just engaging in a holding pattern (yeah, got that from BHD >_<) until a squad needed a pickup? That's something I do on Jabal sometimes, just flying around until people need evac or transportation.

That's what I do when I get the Merlin, circle around, tell the commander where the enemy is, and all that stuff. Then when someone needs a ride I go pick them up.
Shame that "freelook" thing in the Merlin is gone.

True, but a holding pattern does not normally entail whooshing through the skys at top speed and skimming the treetops.

The player in question here is a tard. Pure and simple.

But like BlackwaterEddie says - it's their server and they can do what they like. If 13th MEU want to act like asses on their server it's entirely up to them. Soon enough people will go elsewhere.

I'd see this as a server problem, not 'soloing choppers'.
