Jumping and Crawling

When people get shot out in the open, the first thing that comes to mind is to "jump" out of the way to avoid being hit.
The Project Reality have not fixed this.
I suggest that when you jump you must wait 1 second to jump as the button is pressed (like a little boost to get you jumping). When you land you wait a split second for the land.
Crawling, they prone to avoid being hit and to get better accuracy.
I suggest that it takes about 2 seconds for you to lay down; no action can be tooken during the proning. This way it stops everyone just laying down shooting.
When you jump, any button pressed cannot be activated either.
What do you guys think? Reality or what?

So you wont be able to shoot if you are prone? Or crawl?

no, no, he says there should be a delay after space bar is presses and a delay when you land, like in other games (COD2 comes to mind)
also there should be delay after you hit the z key till you can fire accurately
Accurately is my input; IRL soldiers are trained to hit the deck at contact and still shoot, IRL you cant shoot accurately when you diving.

Known issues, infact there is a thread on this nearly every week.
Prone diving would require animations; animators are dificult to come by and the current one is under a lot of work.
Bunny hopping is up to the player (I rarely see bunny hopping), but needs to be avoided. You cannot remove jumping since it is required to get over small obstacles, such as stairs or curbs.
You have stamina which limits the number of hops, but you are still able to jump even though you have very little stamina.

He didn't say remove jumping completely, he said that you would have to hold spacebar (or any other jump key) for some time before you'll jump.

No I am saying when you press jump, within those 2 seconds you cannot shoot or change direction. BEFORE the jump though is like a split second delay for a boost of a jump (like real).
When you prone, you need to wait 2 seconds for you to actually prone. And then wait about 2 seconds for your accuracy to go to normal (like 2142).

can you do what COD1 did?, You slow down after jumping a couple of times.

That's what I said.

-I'm skeptical of this because jumping and proning is used for so much more than just avoiding bullets. What annoys me alot is the fact that various statics are just high enough to blcok your sight when crouched/prone and just low enough to make you vulnerable when standing/crouched. This way you can't use it for cover because you are either too exposed or your LOS is blocked, and if you prone, then crouch you have the delay so you'll be completely exposed for 2 seconds. Same with windows, if you crouch you lose 75% of your view, if you stand you'll get shot in no time(And then there's the windows that you can't see no matter if you're standing or crouching, I hate those windows).

I hate those things, like the tree planters on Ejod.
I say that you greatly lose accuracy when diving getting up or after jumping.

True, but people want to dodge bullets.

I think, the jump height and distance should be determined, if you are running or standing still.
because if you start running IRL, then jump, you cna jump higher and further, than jumping off the ground standing still.
Also, for prone diving, it was suggested, that devs put in the running animation, where you hold your gun down. The same thing actually happens, when you crouch - your gun is palced down, as if you were running.

Is there a step height that can be implemented? Anything below 5-10 inches can be stepped over with no penalty (would stop me having to jump several times to get in the door at X-ray in Helmand Province).
