FLY APC. FLY!!!

So i was on Al Basrah (the best map on PR) and i decided to drive through the small village to the west. it was goin well, crashing through walls and buildings fine. then wen i came to drive thru the white gate next to the two story building I WENT FLYING. the Apc seemed to get stuck on the fence and i was catapulted about 40 feet into the air and landed on my roof. i have eyewitnesses too who couldnt believe it. i have had a similar problem with other destructable gates but ive never been sent quite so high! any one else had this problem? :?

Happens to lot of people, its some problem with the wall collisions.
I say, its a pretty neat bug, and you dont get damaged too much, when you fall back down :D

ya once on basrah i was fighting off British inf. to kill a pilot who had saw my squad and then been shot down. We moved there with 2 pickups. I was circled by a APC and 2 landrovers. the inf charged but we stayed low due to the apc but thenm we looked up and the APC was flying above us. the we stood up and gave the brits that were taking pics and looking up about 90 AK-47 rounds in 2 seconds. Very funny

EDIT: there was no wall just desert.

Honestly, I think I'd be little sad if this bug were ever fixed.

You mean something like this:
(Disclaimer: No I will NOT tell you how to do this. It's an experimental set up for PR_SP that never saw the light of day)

Yeah... sorry 'bout that... When it's done is the best answer I can give you.
The very reason it's not here already is in my picture... No tank does that in RL... At least none that I know of... :p
That and a few other things to tweak on the CR2.

Possibly, but what did the cannon collide with?
There are no objects anywhere near the cannon. I can understand it if it was the threads or even the hull itself that has a slightly borked collision mesh, and hits an invisible obstruction "beneath" the visible ground... But the gun barrel?

As far as Ive heard, people using the C2 on Proving Grounds found out, that in fact the C2's cannon has a collision, so it can't go through the buildings

And that’s how tank cannons in PR should be done. This will help with the reality aspect and the complications of heavy armor in tight urban areas. In reality a huge battle tank like the Challenger 2 doesn't have the freedom to move its turret in tight areas in between buildings, not unless it wants to damage both the tank and its surroundings. If you remember the insurgent tank in Al Basrah .5 then you’ll remember that the cannon had collisions and you didn’t have the freedom to move the turret while in between buildings; I think it was a lot more realistic than how the EA tanks are setup.

Hmmm, what I remember is that you could move that tanks gun freely, but if you moved the tank itself while the cannon was inside a wall, you'd blow up.

Tony Hawk meets PR or something? Do an ollie using a challenger, followed by a 360, then grind over a hostile tank, stuff like that?

Not going to register on LiveLeak just to see the second video. The first one was impressive enough...

That's, what? 60 tons being thrown 2 3 meters into the air?
Hope the crew survived the ride....
