Ok IV been playing a while im in love with the mod. Id likes to see some more infantry guns like. Mp5, P90, Owen gun, G36E, magnum, MG36. I request that this not be locked please just so idea's can be jotted down. Guns id like to see most in game are the Mp5 and the P90 because there my favourites and there calibre has not been included in the game as a machine gun.









look im sorry if this has been suggested but i look and i could not find any thing like it.

MEC special forces get the MP5

You'll have to be more convincing than that.

What factions would use them?
Which soldiers would be equipped with them?
Keeping in mind of course that it all has to be relative to realism. It's a military orientated mod, not one where you can just......

The reason you couldnt find anything like it is because it is incredibly broad/vague at the same time.

Who would need a magnum(this one HAS been suggested before)?? Who else other than the germans uses the g36 and its variants, or, since im SURE someone knows the answer to that, what faction in PR should get it? why? Now if the german army is modeled, then sure, lets get on it.

mp5 was in. or at least some variant, it is out now because H-AT gets pistol.

You didnt find anything, if you did search, because you would have to type in various guns. Every moderately cool gun that exists(and doesnt) has been suggested at some point or another... and the answer is always the same: who would use it? why? what faction/army? realistic? purely fantasy?

If tons of guns that look moderately awesome is what you want, I think I remember PoE's guns being fairly cool looking...it had some g36 types in there... and Im sure there are TONS more...

and more chinese type 56 for insurgents. :-p

As they have said, you aren´t giving good reasons based on reality. I would want to see the FX 05 in the game, but it isn´t realistic with the actual factions.

The P90 is realistic, SGC use them .

Also, the FN FAL fits for Militia. Oh, the Owen gun is very old and not used by any modern day army.

ya thye only problem is that the more things they add the bigger the PR file gets and harder it is to get people. And hey why dont the brits or US spec-ops use the MP5?

Use the weapon you've been given and move out.

It being your favourite weapons isn't good enough a reason for PR to add them.

because most of the time IRL they dont use MP5s, they use a weapon of there choice which usually has a longer range than the mp5.


I.E the SAS are more commonly 'seen' using the deimenico (bah, whatever the name) that is already in game, and us spec ops usually have an armalite with a load of c**p attached to them...

MP5 for US/UK Pilots is logical (I'm not sure if fighter jet pilots have one, but I'm quite sure chopper pilots do). Not sure if the PLA have a similar weapon for the same purpose.

P90 could be part of the crewman kit - as far as I know, the P90 had tank crwes and urban combat in mind during its design. May well be wrong on that tho.

FAL for malitia (not sure what kit - is the PPSh really used by malitia type forces?), and possibly for the "war vetran" insurgent class, to help seperate it from the plain insurgent class.

Also, a coloured smoke grenade for the officer kit. Presumeably Red/green/orange/purple - even though VOIP ingame invalidates it somewhat, I'd like to pop smoke then have to confirm the smoke coulour I popped on the LZ with a pilot/co-pilot before a helo tried to pick me up

SLs already have green smoke.

FAL should replace the PP which is only used by Russian Special forces

1. The MP5 is issued neither to British or American Tank or Helicopter Crews. The British have the L22A2, the latest carbine in the SA80 family and US forces issue the M4 to tank crews and helicopters.

2. Very good. Exactly the Role it should be in. P90 for MEC Crewman!

3. The FAL would be better off replacing the PP-19 "Bizon" which is used all but exclusivly by certain Spetsnaz units. The PPSh 41 is a more realistic choice as they were produced by the million and shipped all over the world. Or possibly being used for the Scout class (possibly an L1A1 to limit it so semi-auto only)

Fair enough - I just know the FAL is a very common firearm to be found in these kinds of forces but I didnt think too hard about where it could fit in/what it could replace.

Ah right right. Still, the idea of having the FAL for the malitia in some capacity is a solid one, in my opinion.

No worries man, lots of people miss it, things in the "9" slot don't show up when you spin your mouse wheel.
