Unique UAV

I completely understand why the UAV was removed, but I think it would be good to put it back in with a few tweaks. Instead of having the commander call in a UAV, why not have a UAV Command & Control Center? 1 (Maybe 2) person job. Basically, a person flies the UAV like a jet, but he's in the building. Then SL's could have an extra piece of equipment that shows them what the UAV is seeing, then inform the squad. You could even arm the UAV with a few missiles maybe. This way, squads would have better intel like in RL (real life), but it wouldn't be a massive advantage like in regular BF2. It would be difficult, but I think it would be well worth it. :thumbsup:

Sounds great to me, i remember seeing some footage of some delta force guys attached to some marines in iraq, they sent off their little uav and look on a PDA to see what was at a boathouse nearby: but sod's law says that its probably hardcoded

hmm. i'm pretty sure remote flying isn't hardcoded in bf2. how do you use TV missles?

yes, it would be a great idea, and it would actually utilize the uav as it is used IRL.

problem is it takes even more people away from combat and we're already stretching the balance between supporting/combat units to the max with a full 64 player server.

Anywho, we actually have one modeled (do a search) and this has been suggested numerous times.

lol, your not referring to my UAV are you? Anyways, a UAV does sound good in theory, but probally not so well in practice.
