very unlikey due to taht the USMC or US Army factions would have a unfair top gunner on there cars. The other car cant have it so ill say no.

Don't they already have steel plates to protect the gunners on the Humvees, Vodniks, etc? Or were they removed from vBf2, I can't quite remember.

Remodeling the HMMWV and similar vehicles is not a priority at this time.

It's been suggested before and I think it was turned down because the thing wasn't really that common to consider adding.

No, the improved gunner's shields are well on their way to becoming more common; like the MRAPs, they're finally getting where they need to be. And hopefully the M1151 and M1152 HMMWVs and their supplemental armor kits are getting there, too.
But remodeling the vehicles takes a ton of time, and since models for them exist (despite being flawed), they're low priority.

Didn't [R-CON]Uncle Blues model a new Up-Armored HMMWV for the Polish Faction? I remember someone mentioning it'll possibly be given to the US in PR too.
Incase some of you missed it, hers the model by Uncle Blues:
If the US doesn't get to use this one then I'll be glad to model one myself.

Don't see how it's a balance issue at all. All of the gunners are still exposed from above, and DICE didn't exactly do a hyper-accurate job on the other models either, most of which have enclosed turret options as well. The Vodnik is more like the Saxon and isn't in the same class as the HMMWV and other utility / combat vehicles.

So what is it gonna be; are we going to see the above HMMWV for the US too, or do I have to start modeling one?

If you'd like to model one, please do so. I don't know if we'll be using that one. Even if we don't use either of your models, I would like to see what you can do.

Now now, don't you forget about the Canadians

He can do amazing stuff
Also, I thought that the turret part of the humvee was code? Or am I just thinking the gun is code while the actual turret is part of the model?

Aye, With a turret and amphibious like it should be.
But I guess it would be unbalanced to have a vehicle thats better than the US one in everyway. It seems like many people cant take it when the US's stuff aint better than the other teams counterpart

Here it comes :/
The vodnik is more of an APC then it is a heavy jeep.

Thanks for the support Fox and don't worry I'll make the Canadians another model soon enough, for now they only need the LAV-III to be finished. As for the HMMWV, I'll get to it as soon as I have some free time.

Take that troll attitude back under the bridge, or get a warning.
Comparing a HMMWV to a Vodnik is apples and oranges, anyway; one is a thin-skinned utility vehicle
adapted as an armored small arms and ATGM carrier, the other is built as an APC. As I said, it's more like the Saxon; a 4x4 APC. If a Saxon were to
mate with a BRDM-2 whose father was a BTR-60, its
offspring would look pretty much like the Vodnik.
In the armored car role as shown in CP's post it carries the BTR-80 turret and can carry 7 infantry in the passenger compartment. Driver, gunner plus 6 passengers for both the Saxon and a remodeled Vodnik would be nice.

Just took a look at your LAV-III,
very nice work!
