I hate it how wen u right click with a shotgun or mounted weapon eg 50 cal. then u just get a SLIGHT zoom. its practically useless. i find it even more annoying that you can sights on the weapons but are unable to use them. do 50 cal gunners rely on the tracers of ther high powered weaponry to eventually hit a target in real life?? surely they would actually aim!!

If you press C you will bring up the ironsight with most .50 cals, not all though, Im sure they are working in ironsight on all of them.

I don't knwo waht happened to the landie or Saxon .50 ironsight, but all other cars have working ironsights. More or less. Some of them are slightly off.

Ironsights for mounted LMG's would be very nice though

Eh... How the hell do you aim a shotgun irl if you dont use the iron sights? Try to hit a flying *red thing* from the hip... Not that i've ever tried that.

Or better yet, as a more accurate description, when we use the non-lethal shotgun rounds on rock throwers we use the sights.

It doesn't hurt to use the sights unless you're a retard.

And how do u hit a red thing using a 1 projectile slug...........a slugshot ???

And id like to fire from a shotgun, from a SPAS 12...................but DAMN i live in croatia !!!!!!!!!!!!!

And we have at least less criminal... : )

Oh and:
that's how we aim the .50. It kicks to much on full auto to use the sights really, and you need to utilize a T&E (Traverse and Elevation) mechanism to use single shot out at range or even full auto past 200m effectively.

We are taught to press our abs and body armor up against the handles of the .50 and use our entire body to control the weapon as we shoot. Obviously we don't always get to do this, but that's the ideal. Just walk the tracers in.

its not real life tho. and i would like to use the sights which i can SEE but not are unable to use

yeah, but its Project Reality. Anyway, don't you fire a Shotgun from the shoulder? or is that certain shotguns?

ya but why there machine guns and the recoil of some would not make the gunner aim.

I'd say it varies a lot how .5 cal is shot. If you have a good gradle for the gun and optical sights, it is easy to shoot with the sights. Tracers stil help.

well, im just saying. the US and MEC and i think PLA mounted weapons use the sights. why not the british, insurgents and militia?

I'm sure its something so little that the Devs forgot about it.

50 cals are extremely potent weapons, consider this as balancing. It takes time to track your fire to a target, that is the disadvantage.

haha yea i guess. i just find it annoyin wen ur sat in the checkpoint. on a 50./mounted m249 and an insurgent comes round the corner, u havent been on for a bit and not got used to the aim yet. u fire and it goes clean over his head. by this time hes already molotov'd ya!
