Neutral mines

I'm guessing this isn't possible;

Mine -> Enemy = Registered kill
Mine -> Friendly = Kill but no TK

While that would be the preferable method, would it be possible for a mine to become neutral when dropped and not link back to that player? Any enemy kills gotten would not add to the player's score or count but equally when some moron drives a full support truck over your freshly placed mine you don't get a load of TK's (and 99% of the, TK Punishes).

Obviously doing this would make mines ripe for tardism but then we have admins and wrenches to ban and pick up. I can't count how many times i've defended an area with a mine only for someone to instantly drive over it, or equally when I drive over a friendly mine I didn't see, then everyone in the vehicle but myself punish.

So;

Mine -> Friendly = Kill, no TK
Mine -> Enemy = Kill, no score

People could still use C4 as a controlled mine and mines would still be great for defending an area but it takes out that risk of being banned from the server for some other idiot's mistake.

Note; I did refer to myself as an idiot there, no need to point it out :)

The only references to mines in the previous suggs thread was making them invisible and to warnings.

I'd like to see HUGE bold scull and crossbones on friendly mines so that friendlies know and can swerve out of the way in time

I like it, i remember once i was stuck at north bunker as an engineer when my squad got ripped apart by a mec tank, i'd already used my c4- so I ran up and put a mine in front of him, but some one must've warned him cuz he reversed to get me,

so my little mine lay in wait for 10mins until a USA APC/tank came along with ppl who push the punish button so fast they broke their keyboards

Good thought. As there is no advanced way's of telling your teammates where you have put mines the TK should be neutralized. But probably this is not possible as I see it would have been changed then.
