hopefully this is just a small one but I've just installed the new patch and i reinstalled the kashan desert training map, hopped into the M1 abrhams and i have no tank engine or track sounds at all, everything else is fine gun firing etc. i had sound fine before i did the patch, i havnt been on a server with tanks yet to see if i get the same result, is this just me?

pls check if you can hear the tank from outside.

I noticed that in the APC, but when I got out, I could hear the engine very loudly as it stopped.

I think, the not being able to hear the tank when inside is a feature

Just checked this, no track sound, although I can hear the whine of the engine very faintly. Haven´t tested outside though.

we introduced a much more changed sound (normaly muffled alot only) when inside armoured vehicles in the patch.

normally you should hear all things outside and the vehicle engine muffled alot, but you should hear them at all. all 1p sounds inside the vehicles (1p gunshots and so on) and the radio voices should not be affected.

if you dont hear an engine or any other sound from outside the vehicle at all, then its a bug.

if thats the case, pls told us your sound card and if you use EAX (enabled in the game and in the driver possibly) and hard- or software sound ingame.

make also sure you use the latest sound drivers and do the openAL update from this thread.
