I've just downloaded the patch and I tried to join 2 differents servers running Al Basrah. The servers were with the patch and I had CTD when I pressed JOIN GAME.

Did you try any other server with any other map?

The other maps were OK, I played on Mestia (nice new skins for the brithis btw), ejeod and Kashan, I only had problems (CTD) with al basrah.

I will try soon again.

I was gonna say that I had the same issue, but it appears that I did not. I'm not sure why you are having that issue with Al Basrah map only. Has it happened on just one server or all servers that you have tried?

I played Basrah when I first got the patch on a mostly empty server BUT now it CTD when it finishes loading.

I tryed before with the patch version of 0.61 but I kept CTDing so I uninstalled BF2 thoroughly and reinstalled, installed the patches and pr_0613_setup.exe and I just had a CTD trying to join a server running Al Basrah.

Going to try again on a different map.

I am having this problem too. Whenever I load a map, I have tried a few different ones, it CTD's either just before I click, or just after I click join game.

Are you sure you are joining servers updated with 0.61?

Not all servers have upgraded, and this sounds like the cause of your guys' problems.

I just played and the servers worked, have't been in a server running Al Basrah yet without CTDing.

Basra was the first map I tried and it worked fine while I played.

Beware of joining older servers, they arent marked in red and it'll let you join right upto the point of the squad select screen then it gives a CTD

Sounds like a lot of people are trying to join servers running .609. A CTD when you press join game normally always points to that. Make sure the server actually says .61 etc, then try it again.

Strange, now everything works fine. The servers names were with "0.613" or "0.61", but I think there weren't really running the new version.

i just got the patch a few mins ago and the first map i played was albasra.
it was fine for me!!

We play today 2 times basrah, and 2 times server crash. Map removed from server
