On Wednesday PR basically stopped working for me. I made no changes between the game working and when the problem started, to PR or my computer.

The game loads up and I can find servers just fine, but once the map is loaded up to the point where the join game button appears it crashed to desktop. This had happened once or twice in the past but each time was always weeks apart, now it happens every time without fail.

Pulling up task manager after the CTD, I noticed that PunkBuster.exe was still running and assumed that that may be the issue. Checking the PB website and running the update program I found that Im running the latest version and works fine with other BF2 mods, including vanilla.

PR blows all other shooters out of the water, help!

I would personally suggest a fresh install. Remove everything from your computer that even smells like BF2 or PR, then install everything again.

Also, it might be me, but wasn't the patch released on wednesday? Make sure that you're running the latest version of PR.

Yeah, if you have already downloaded the PR patch, make sure you are trying to join servers which specifically say .61 in the title, otherwise it will CTD when you click join game.

Doh! When I went looking for a patch I went straight to the files page and just looked like the one I already had. Didnt notice the front page link to the new patch in my haste.
