tank rounds dont glow they dont have rockets on them so they should not glow. just a suggestion to make project reality more real.

I think the one in pr is to signify a tracer round or something and to help aiming at longer distance like for 1km and beyond.

tank rounds glow if they are tracer tank rounds, rounds with a phosphorous coating which burns in the presence of oxygen, hence why they glow

.
hope that answers your question.
thanks, pete

yeah, cuz the smoke n stuff doesn't render at long range, so you cant see where your round landed unless it is a tracer like it is now.
god damn rendering problems

Off course they don't glow. It's probably a shell with tracer.

I never saw anything like that being fired from a tank before, it looked like some special missile instead of a tank shell

I saw that movie before. This picture was made during tests of the new type of a tank shell, so it doesn't have to be equiped with tracer.

Nope, almost all tank shells comes with tracer as well as without.
Theres no rocket, no propulsion only phosphor burning (sometimes mixed with something to give it a different color).

Russians actually developed missiles that could be fired from the main cannons of T90s and T80s.
