Squad leader to squad leader communication

1) I think this mod needs to implement squad leader to squad leader VOIP communication.
This would especially be helpful in coordinating attacks and relaying information more efficiently amongst infantry squads.
Additionally, think of an infantry squad leader communicating with a vehicle squad leader (the latter squad consist of tanks, apcs, humvees, black hawks) by asking for support fire, pick up, etc.
This doesn't sound that hard to do. What do you guys think?

Sounds pretty awesome. Different channels (with different buttons for each), such as squad leader to troops, platoon leader to squad leader, squad leader to squad leader, troops to vehicle, etc.
Good idea, Armand! No...
BRILLIANT!

Can't the commander communicate between squad leaders as it is? I like your idea armand, don't get me wrong, I was just wondering if the commander could already do that? I'm thinking he can relay voice coms between squads...

I don't think the commander can do that.
He should be able to. More realistic ^_^

no, I'm pretty positive that commanders when they transmit, transmit to squad leaders. I play squad leader 99.9% of the time.

You sure they can transmit VOIP to SL's?

Default button for BF2 VOIP is B. Just hold it down and it will send your message to squad members

If you're not in a squad, you cannot talk to ANYONE!
You can only talk to squad members.
No all players channel, unless you wanna type stuff

yeah if you're squad leader you can hit V and talk to the commander, and all squad leaders hear commanders chat at the same time (just went and tested it)
so in theory the commander can rely comments, probably making for easy comms, etc...

yea that is good too, but in addition to that, i think we SLs should be able to talk to other sls. While the commander can give overall messages to all SLs.
Do squad leaders communicate with other squad leaders in RL?

They could yell to other squad leaders.
Not sure if they use radio to contact 'em though. Platoon leader tells all the squads where to go, so I'd doubt it

Speaking of platoon leader, the commander role in pr should be changed to platoon leader.

Definitely.
