MiG-29 cannon a little weak.

I think it might be a hitbox issue, but I see my F-16 getting hit by the 30mm multiple times, as well as watching a littlebird start smoking after getting hit. 1 or 2 rounds should kill a littlebird instantly. And maybe 5-6 will kill an F-16. And I fired almost 16 rounds at point blank into an F-16, hitting all of them (I saw the detonations) and it didn't even start smoking. Right now there isn't a difference between the 20mm and 30mm on each jet. So I think that the 30mm on the MiG should be closer to the GAU-8 than the M61. Also, you can't hit a jet that is moving across your nose due to lag because the hits will not register (If the plane is there for 100ms, and you "hit" it, the hits will not register due to BF2 engine limitations). $0.02

i dont know what the guys will thing , but maybe adding back the litle X to confirm the hit ONLY FOR JETS will solve that problem , i thing that FH2 make that (acording to their videos)

Well, the GsH-30 cannon in the MiG-29 and Su-27 fires the same rounds as the 2A42 cannon in the BTR-90 and 2A38 cannons in the 2S6M; it fires 30 x 165mm cartridges. So yes, it should be about equal to the GAU-8 (30 x 173mm cartridges). Will check on this.

I gota disagree with you on this, I can own all with the migs gun I dont even use the missiles, If anything the f16's gun is to weak, you gota get like 10-15 hits on a plane to get it smoking with it.

Client server issue? Could be, you can "see smoke" but server don't register the hits..

You´ll own all,,well that figures.

Well yes the planes need an overhaul. *cough F-16 turn rate = 54 deg/sec missile turn rate = 30 deg/sec coughing*. Anyways, the planes guns in general are a little strange. I can't see any real difference between hitting a vodnik or apc, with either the M61 or GSh-30-1. They take the same amount of rounds to kill each (about 200 for M61 and 100 for GSh-30-1). Also, the A-10 and Su-25 guns don't hurt airplanes as much as the M61. Not that you should be intercepting the enemy in an a-10 mind you. Small stuff, but noticeable.

GAU-8 API 30mm x 173mm:
Muzzle Vel: 3,250 ft/s
Projectile: 15.0 oz
Muzzle energy: 9.9 million foot pounds

GSh-30-1 API 30mm × 164 mm:
Muzzle Vel: 2,820 ft/s
Projectile: 14 oz
Muzzle energy: 6.9 million foot pounds

M-61 20mm semi armor-piercing high-explosive incendiary
Muzzle Vel: 3,450 ft/s
Projectile: 3.5 oz
Muzzle energy: 2.6 million foot pounds

GAU have 30% more energy
Vulcan has 60% less energy

The Guns on the A-10 seem to spread pretty significantly. The GSH-30-1 and M61 are like laser guns right now. The spread is about 30 feet at 1000 yds so 15 feet at 500 is a good amount since you don't shoot from much farther than that anyways. Not really a big deal but it would certainly look nicer. Sorry for the bump.
