Rally Point Limits

I suggest that the distance from a cappable flag needed to spawn a RP should be decreased, at least down to round 25 meters, on FRIENDLY CP's ONLY, if not by more. (perhaps even 0)

It is just way to hard to set a rally point on many of the maps.

You can't set one at all at street (ok, maybe theres one little special place...)
EJOD desert is diffucult, you get like a 10x10 meter box in which to set all the rally points in the game, and then way out in the desert, and hills of hamyong, there is very little you can do except watch your squad get slaughtered and die, and have to wait for you to spawn again and walk back up to the fight.
In PR, unlike vBF2, flags do not equal spawns.
It should be the squad leader's responsibility to set a spawn point down.
If we are taking out squad leader spawns in .7, I seriously suggest RP's become a LOT more user friendly. Right now there is less incentive to put one down, mainly because its too hard of a job to find the "right place'
Once you're there, yeah congrats, but you have to have three squad members near you.

You should only be able to set one down on your turf, in your CP zone, because technically, you control the land, right?
Currently, you have to be farther away from the CP.
Obviously, leave the 100 meters from an enemy or neutral, so people don't spawn and gun down foes.
So, in short, take away the "must be 100m from a friendly control point to set a rally" rule
or at least limit it.

thx

I would say Reduce Friendly flag placement for 50 Meters, and maybye Nuetral for 75 (or keep it at 100 since theres a short time space in nuetral flags)

I don't think Street is a good example. Its not meant to be played with 64 players in AAS. Also you need about 10 seconds to get from main base back to the fight so there is no reason for rally points.
EJOD has dozens of great spots for rally points. True, only few in the city but thats why you have bunkers, APC, commander trucks and SLs.
For example, you can set up a bunker at gardens as MEC in first 5 minutes of the game. From there you can get to any part of the city VERY quickly.
And all other maps that I can think of have no problems with finding a spot for a rally.

100m is okay.
A RP should only be a backup for the squads.

waiiit...what i'm taking from you're post is that you can set rp's inside cap zones?

o rly???

if so, there is no need for this thread. if NOT, then something needs to be fixed.

but what about the bubbles inside the bubbles?

either way, those things are HUGE and should be made a lot smaller. i like setting rally points, and too many times i've seen squads give up because they can't set one up somewhere.

1. The bubbles inside the bubbles are the capping zones.
2. Use the 3Dmap to see the distances to each flag.

100m to set a rp is to much for city maps, for the big maps like Kashan its ok. But as you can see on Bubbas pics of Ejod there are not much good places to set one. We have just a small line inside the city were we can set a rp. And this line is a street that means that you dont have enough cover to hide the rp. With the old 75m the map played much better.

I also dont like the idea to have the rp inside the capping zone. I think this would make the flags uncappable.

So 75m wtf :D

well my main question is, if you have capped a flag and control the land around it, why can't you set a rally point?

i understand for enemy and neutral the 100 meter thing (maybe a little less for neutral)

but for your own base?
i just don't understand.

You've already got bunkers, which serve as spawnpoints on flags. If you could place RPs on friendly flags, attackers would have it tough - they could kill your entire squad while advancing on the flag, only to find that you came out from behind a dumpster and are back on the flag 30 seconds later.
