Haven't set my joystick up yet. I used to fly with a joystick but now I just use keyboard.

Using keyboard only is a lot easier than using the mouse as well (WASD and Arrow keys)

Keyboard as my mouse has a tendency to spaz out occasionally. Really want a joystick though.

joystick all the way with joytokey
i have seen people say the best pilot i have ever seen uses a joystick and vice versa to mouse and keyboard. So lets not go down that road.

Joystick.
I'm too used to playing various sims with a joystick to use keyboard and mouse (which feels kinda like trying to ride a unicycle on a floating piece of ice in a river with a fast current).

I use keyboard, mouse & joystick - for a rock solid hover I use my X52 throttle, say i'm flying the longbow, 17% throttle is a solid, stationary hover, you can't get that accuracy with the keyboard..

Until recently, i only flew with Pure keyboard.
Now choppers are more sensitive, i alternate from keyboard for long distance/ extreme maneuvers and mouse and KB for precise and smooth action/ formationz.
Problems with KB= you get either 100& or 0%. Can be twichty and doesnt allow for as smoother operation, such as between buildings and under bridges.
Problems with pure KB= Doesn't allow MAX POWER all the time, when you may need to be.
Problems with alteration between = particularly sensitive choppers may tend to nose dive or lose full control for a few seconds. moving the mouse while using KB directional arrows will cease all control u have over chopper for a few seconds.
...mongol...
