Medic Kit (should not be retrievable)

When a medic dies players should not be able to grab his kit and revive him and keep on there merry way. If a medic dies he should be dead unless a player playing medic revives him. I'm sure many of you have gone through and killed like 3 guys just for the 4th guy to kill you, grab a medic kit off one of the fallen guys just to revive them all and continue on... whats the reality in that?

There are many unreal things in PR. In reality you can't revive critical wounded soldier, complete heal in several seconds after being critical, respawn after death(!) and many, many other things.
It is only a game mate.

so... if you killed a medic, you couldnt heal your mate with it?
thats realism?

I think the best possible way to accomplish this would be to have the medic kit simply disappear the moment it's dropped. This sort of thing can & should apply for other kits as well. Such as Engineer, Spec Ops, & Sniper, Pilot & Crewman, since those kits represent specialties more than anything.

Yes because you don't instantly get a medic's knowledge just by taking his stuff.

Please guys, don't try to compare game and reality. It leads to nowhere.

People already don't do it nearly enough. And it's not really that incredibly unrealistic. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but all soldiers are trained in first aid. If a medic went down in real life, they'd probably attempt to patch his wounds up and whatnot. In such a situation, they would be able to reach into the medic's backpack, and retrieve bandages and other medical supplies.
Same with kits like the sniper kit - if a wounded soldier dropped his sniper rifle, somebody else could pick it up and keep firing. Maybe they wouldn't be as skilled at operating it, but then, in the game, skill comes from player and not the kit.

Read my first post in this tread and you will know what I mean.
You can't create the game just the same as the real life.
I can make more explanations if you want

In regards to the medic though, you're talking about bringing back a person who's critically wounded. The injuries can range anywhere from being shot in a vital organ, losing a limb or a severe loss of blood. Injuries that severe are probably beyond basic medical training. IMO basic medical training is simulated by players giving each other field dressings and what not, but advanced medical training is simulated when a medic revives a critically wounded player, which in many ways is unrealistic to begin with, since someone who's been critically wounded would probably require a extensive medical treatment at a hospital or something, even after that they're not likely to see combat again.
Though back to the point, players really shouldn't be able to pick up a medic kit and suddenly gain all the advanced training and knowledge that medic had.
I made the suggestion for the sniper kit because even though you've picked up the rifle, the training that goes into being a sniper is immense. They're almost special forces in many ways, as most of their work is behind enemy lines from what I understand. A basic rifleman shouldn't suddenly be capable of understanding the math, skill and stealth that's needed to be an effective sniper.

I have to disagree. When you pick up a a riflemans kit is right click disabled because of the 4x zoom? Or when you pick an AT kit is the rocket disabled because it's not what you were trained for? Sorry for sounding like a hard *** but sometimes when i play as medic when i'm killed and there are no other medics in the squad i'm glad for the revive. I know it may be undrealistic but it works.

Most sniper units are classed as "Special Farces"

I dont think the idea is bad. Not about the realism, more about the gameplay. I already had that a few times. You kill a squad, and one player survives and revives all his teammates in a few seconds. You died for nothing, the enemy squad can proceed, even if you killed almost all of them. Its a bit unfair i think.

Talking about gameplay.
If you are not able to pick up medic kit, then you shouldn't be able to pick up any other kit in a game.
This is the only fair solution.

Having a SL hiding and having his squad spawn out of him and harass you is more unrealistic than a guy saving his fallen teammates

The average infantry soldier does not know how to revive a fallen soldier, cuts and stuff yeah but once his heart has stopped they cannot unless they do CPR or something I doubt they would know what half of the stuff in the Medics bag is.
and CPR aint gonna bring you back with 3 to the chest.

We're talking about a whole different field that the average grunt isn't qualified to do. When entering the USMC, U.S Army and other branches of service, you the option to choose your MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) depending on your ASVAB score.
For all intents and purposes every player on the battlefield is considered a rifleman at best. All the listed requirements are what each player should be capable of doing at any given time.

Specialties such as medical and engineering are things that require training in entirely different fields.
