No running before RP

1. Suggestion: Generally players can’t run before they have set up a rally point (there has to be a few exceptions)

2. In reality: You don’t run fast (if at all) with the backpacks that later form the rally point.

3. Consequences: People will form squads and set up rally points. If they don’t behave like squad members, the SL will most likely kick them out, and they will loose their possibility to run. Giving them three options. Play as a squad, never run or form a squad with other lone wolves (but they still must cooperate to set a RP. One problem though is, when there are not enough people to form squads of 4. These players must be encouraged to use vehicles ect.

4. Exceptions:
1 Certain maps: Small maps with no space to set rally points (Streets etc), and other maps (not always exceptions on small maps and never exceptions om medium or large maps).
2 Insurgents, Commander, Crewman and Pilots (and others? sniper?)

By the way thanks for the mod, it is fantastic.

People always run to the first flag with SF gun in their hands regardless of anything, as far as I know :|

While the idea has something for it, I fear that people then will just "dump" their RP as fast as possible to rush for the flags.

Ok get a movie of people at the start of a round and tell me how many run?

I agree with most of you, but I still am in favor of it.

Yes, they will “dump” their rally outside the main base, and then rush for the flag. But they now will move as a squad. When they have a chance later (at a better position) they will relocate the RP, as you would do in real battle.

It also will increase the value of ground and air transport, maybe even making cars truly valuable.

Now everybody rush for the flag, if nobody could run fast, it would be equal to both sides and giving a bonus for team play (transport and organization).

Most players wouldn’t be affected more them a few minutes, but for lone wolves it would effect them the whole game. Let’s face it: It is realistic and promotes team play (by punishes “no team players” and giving bonuses for the utilization of transport options).

maybe we should think about revising the rally points.
