Me too. I get about 3-4 servers with a ping under 100, or just below. Im in Southern California so I imagine these servers are generally pretty far away.
It sucks, but it forces me into playing maps I would otherwise try to avoid. I think that will be a good thing in the long run.

Even if it tells me having a ping of 150 to the server, after joining the battle the real ping is around 60.
Of course, it's all about your location and connection type. Even cheap network cards can cause your ping to be bigger than usual. If you are using WLAN connection, you may feel the difference by using cable to connect your computer directly to the router.
So what kind of network card do you have? i have a advantek network card and my ping is 100-130 (in a lovely day), also i have a network with my neighbors and im connected to the swith not directly to the modem...that affects my ping? should my ping be lower if im directly connected to the modem? i know if i share my connection im not going to use at 100% my connection speed and that affect my ping (that is why i generally play late at night) but if i change to modem can i see the difference?

I normally play with 200-300 ping, its not that horrible when you get used to it.

whenever i play in a server my is around 30-60.. but then it will start jumping from that to about 700 every 45 seconds to a minute.. and i lag like a son of a gun.... the .61 patch helped alittle and i even did a complete reinstall of Bf2 and PR and it still didnt help.. i have dsl at 768kb... and i am directly connected to the modem/router thing... but it only seems to do it on Bf2 and Pr... none of my other games lag that bad.

I have never cared about ping. Unless I see someone with a ping of 10000 it doesnt bother me. Its the internet, its bound to happen.
Dont like it? Pay for your own server

WOW!
I don't even look at servers over 150 and only play the overseas servers when the US ones are full.

Your avatar scares me. Just thought you should know.
The only time ping bothers me is when someone with a 3999 ping runs in front of me and it sends my PC into shock. An NO ONE wants to kick them...
But honestly, I think I only occasionally look at my ping just to see what that changing number is by my name...
WHere is the battlearena server based? TG? DevilsBrigade?

To the above^ Game monitor should be able to tell you their loactions.
I have a 512kbit connection and in the servers I play on my ping stays around 80-120, in fact it varies very little unless someone downstairs is using the internet. I am also using wireless. Ping for TG is around 170, I don“t usually play there though, I stick to european servers. Does wireless really make a difference? And if it does, what difference? As in, jumpy ping, higher ping by around 20 etc...?
As I said, everything works fine here, smooth, constant etc... But can wireless just make the ping higher?

I don't have the luxury of playing with my own countrymen, theres only one PR server in the middle east and its always empty.
Its really not that bad when you get used to it, its only 0.3 seconds delay + its a nice excuse for when I fail at CQC "I have bad ping"

Playing in my country's server I get 15~20 of ping, but when I play in foringer servers, I can play normally until 250 of ping.

When I click update server list, most servers show up with pings of +100,but when I click on them the ping drops down.
Also on servers showing 0 ping (operationreality server) I can join and get pings of about 60.

ping is only really bad when it gets into the 200's. I'd say that around 150 it gets noticeable, a little sketchy here and there, but the "PR lag" very much outweighs any lag from internet connection.

i was looking at the servers and ware there at. most are far away from me and my group. we all got cable and good PC. but we all have the same problem. i end up having to join server with pings of 120+. our pings stay low in the 50 or lower but still have problems trying to get the 100+ ping players.
i really wish there was a server in CA

anythin up to 200 is fine for playing

, my avergae ping on most servers i play on is about 130, thats because i play on foreignservers, the brit servers i hardly ever go on for some reason, and that i dont know the reason for
