Upgrading youre kit

i think its suggested before but couldnt find it becouse the search thing doesnt work well to me''
inspired a little by the OPK mod, by that ''upgrade kit'' thing :)


(FOR USMC . becouse i dunno much about GB ;) )
you have the normal kit list
each kit should have the normal load out.


if you pick
-Special OP.
-Rifleman

you could choose between an m4 or an m16 with the upgrades:
(You can choose 2 of those)
- AGOC scope
- extra smoke
- extra nades
- extra ammo
- 'better training' improves: accuracy,stamina and more health (15%)
-------------------------------------------------------------------

if you pick
- engineer
- corpsman

you could choose between an m4 or an m16 with the upgrades:
(You can choose 2 of those)
- AGOC scope
- extra ammo
- extra field dressings
- extra batteries
- 'Spec.Training' improves: accuracy,stamina,health, and healing repairing speed (25%)

Actually, it can be done. Bunkers, Spawnable support trucks, and alot of key features to PR would not be done by EA because it actually takes time.

Didn't know using 4 smokes instead of 2 would overcomplicate things. Added running (stamina) would be... not given "specialized kits"

Because we all know that the PR team can develop anything because they made some modded content amirite?

They can hack teh source code...


Honestly.... you are going to get the general "Cannot be coded" response...

and along the lines of customization - if it ever came into PR ( DOUBTFUL - would have to have EA's grubby little hands give us source code )

I DOUBT IMO - That the PR team would add stat customizations or extra "nades" for kits - if it EVER was done it would be for adding a scope!

GRUMBLE GRUMBLE bad idea - go play a RPG or something.

After a quick review of the OPK system I don't think a choice would be possible. You could have the standard kit (with which you spawn) and the "upgraded" (which actually appears to be different rather than an increase in kit power). So we could, for the US army, for example, have everyone who spawns with an M4 the option to "upgrade" to an M16A2 with the relevent attachments (I would not support this for limited kits, however, just spawnables).

So, possible but not as customizeable as Arjan hopes, it seems to me.

but i think m4 should be used in more kits ;) !

Yes it HAS already been suggested. Search doesnt work well for you? Check the already suggested suggestions thread that is stickied. Its right in there. :)

For whatever reason this has not been done. Sure, something along the lines of the unlock kit selection could be used but i beleive that is something PR cant do without upsetting EA. Regardless, yes it has been asked and many times before at that.
