A new piece of hardware.

Ok so I just bought ARMA combat operations and it has the ability to use something called TRACKIR.
Basically it's a head motion sensing unit that is mounted on your head set and the motion tracking sensor mounts onto your monitor. Wherever you turn your head in real life, you turn your virtual soldiers head.

Here's the link:

This would be a great thing to have enabled on future PR updates.

I just have no idea if it is even possible to use due to my very limited knowledge on such subjects.
Feedback is encouraged

you can use it, but not really satisfactorly, you can use a function called mouse emulation, but you lose control of the craft and it flys in a straight line while you "look" using trackIR. there was a bit of a buzz a few months ago that someone had managed to get it to function properly, but Punkbuster proved to be shall we say problematic? and haven't heard anything more. If you search TrackIR you should find the thread that shows it working in vBF2 with 6dof, would of been great if they could of got it to work in PR

Well hopefully in the not too far future we will have it applied and the bugs will be worked out. Things always go like this when they first get released and tested. More of a BETA process than anything.

Already suggested AND in already suggested suggestions. :)

Please use search in the future. And yes, I'm sure its amazing in ArmA. i recently got this great voice recognition software that makes ArmA a blast!
http://www.pilfius.com.ar/download.php
download and install all that and then set up voice commands to coincide with all the ~ 1 1 (all fall back into formation) commands and such. :)

Thanks,
Okita

And welcome to the forums!
