Put a delay before throwing grenades

Yes, we need something like that, because:

1.) IRL soldiers don't 'load' their grenades, then just throw them in an instant at something.

2.) There is a really gamey tactic, that's evolved, where people run around with hand grenades and throw them at the first guy, they see/that starts shooting at them.
I know, because I almost got teamkilled by it, since people already shoot first, then ask, then all of a sudden I see a hand grenade incoming towards my face and not a red, or blue guy throwing it, it was my own squad mate :?

3.) On maps like Op Ghost Train, where instaproning doesn't really work, since you land on the ground with tons of grass in front of your face, making you unable to see anything.
Here you have players, that once you start suppressing them, they'll isntaprone and in the same moment, you'll get a hand grenade thrown at you.

I still think, Rifleman should have less hand grenades, but until instaproning gets somehow fixed, so you can't use your weapon while slamming your face into mud or rocks, I think, a delay before throwing grenades would at least bring down a bit of the grenade throwing gameyness

There is delay in Nades after you throw the first one, like 3 seconds.

There should be a delay/reload time before throwing any of them, if you switch of your grenades it should be reset, unless it's the engine being gay again, or it's not possible anyway, it doesn't make any sense.

It seems a little long though but I wouldn't know how long it took to get another grenade out. Issues like this are down to how people play the game though, not what is and isn't realistic, so to call it "gamey" is a bit of a farce.

Come on people, the best safety mechanism for any weapon in PR and otherwise is......?

Come on....everyone together now.......

If you've seen Blackhawk Down, you know this.

Only a moron would need some other mechanism to do this for them. Yes....sadly there are way too many morons that play this game, and THAT is the source of 80% of the "problems" in PR. No change of game mechanic or combination of game mechanics will be able to fix this as morons are almost superhumanly adept at finding new and innovative ways to circumvent game mechanics and continue to torment us with their l33tness.

The funniest thing I've seen in any game to try to help combat TKing (and I don't remember what game it was not, but it was back when I first started gaming) was this: The person that TKs takes equal damage to the damage that they dealt to the team victim up to and including death. Add to that an increased spawn time for the offending party and you might have something.

At least 2 seconds delay, BEFORE you throw, most of the time, people just select them, throw, then switch back to the rifle.

Heavy AT has a delay before you can fire it, so it's possible

Yeah I'd much prefer it to the long 'reload' times which I assume are to compensate for this.

What's with the massive H-AT delay anyway? Does it really take that long to ready in real life?

not the SRAW , it canbe ready to fire in less than 10 seg , unlike the eryx with need like 20-25 seg.

I think, on the contrary, that it takes too long to throw grenades thanks to the timer. IRL all you do is place your rifle on the ground or sling it over your back, grab a grenade, pull the pin and toss, cooking optional. About 1-2 seconds total. The timer takes about 4.

With three-point slings, you do not have to sling the rifle over your back, it falls into the low-ready position across your chest.

The delay shouldn't be on grenades. The delay should be on switching your rifle back to a position where you can fire it effectively.
