A topic on tank damage + repairing

honestly, how can a tank really be repaired on the battlefield other than fixing the tracks? How are you going to repair a SABOT round to the turret or the side of the tank which has penetrated and shredded up the inside? That would take weeks of repair in the shop.

I think tanks should either take NO damage from sabot rounds or rockets or 100% or 50% damage because of the deflection or nullification of the projectile by the front armor.

Sabot at these ranges always penetrates armor, independant of the angle. HEAT might be a little weaker, modern MBT armor is quite HEAT resistant.
