Does anyone else find it too easy to shoot people out of heli's?

I find way too easy. The Merlin is the easiest to shoot out the passengers from, Blackhawk is Second, And the PLA/MEC are tied for Third.
It's real funny to me when some pilot slows down in order to give his passengers a shot but my squad manages to kill them all.

*opens up RPK on the passengers on the side of the LB, pilot gets shot and you see the LB going spinning down, out of control

ehhh pilots should really not try and use choppers as air mobile gun emplacements, they offer hardly any cover to troops sitting on the sides of it and ehhh, this means you are really high up in the air, every one in cover on the ground can see you, and you are a easy target... should just use it for transport and thats about it really, unless you want to die

Only real use for airborne hunting is with AT, no way that you're going to hit anything with a regular gun or a support weapon

Busting a jihad vehicle with H-AT from the Merlin is fun though...

The truth behind it all is that it's not uncommon for a troop to get shot in a heli under certain circumstances, such as hot LZ's.
troops in Vietnam suffered great casualties due to the vulnerability it has.
Maybe you're just a good shot?

Close the doors on Blackhawk/Merlin would prevent this, and your always exposed in the LB.. I just say your a shield for the Pilot

When there are just the crew-chiefs in the BlackHawk and pilot knows something about piloting then the crew-chiefs are able to kill whole squads but that requires alot of training.

Well the ultimate cache-hunting squad IMO is a merlin with the door guys as support keeping eyes out for caches while the other three guys hop out, secure the area, and destroy caches with the support gunners giving cover all the while.

it all comes down to the pilots skill, not the shooters.

Not only the pilot but he plays the keyrole in that whole thing.

LMG's do wonders with LB's

40-50 bullets and its down. But whats really bothering me is that its way to easy to shoot down attackchopters on Kashan Desert. I dont really fly chopters on Kashan, but when im driving a tank i usually end up killing 3-5 attack chopters with my main gun. Its just way too easy

well shut down merlin SOMETIMES is easy (with the apropiated gun and location)same with troops on it, yesterday i was playing and was a soldier doing the role of gunner on the merlin (he had a saw i think in one of the doors) and with the right location and he`s unfortunately luck he was kill by my ak-47 and i said to him "come back in your chopper later" and actually he do it with the same tactic and fail again, is not only the pilot skill with the chopper is the aim of your gunner, and time ago with the AA weapon insurgent was merlin dropìng troops behind the city (al basrah) and i was on the roof of the hotel i barely aim and boom! a entire squad down (the pilot wrote: "u kill everybody inside the chopper") actually was pretty exciting, but why he come back to the same point with more troops? that time only 2 soldiers lost their lives...in resume:
A) is not only the pilot skill with the chopper is the aim of your gunner.
B) dont come back to the same point is your getting shoot with rockets
C) Merlin is a transport chooper not an attack chopper.

What do you propose? A deflector shield? If you're exposed you're liable to get shot. I don't see why someone sitting in a helicopter should be given some sort of immunity or extra defense.
