Aimbot = use for chopper, tank, AA gun, Jet fire control systems

First off don't suggest that this is cheating. I want it to be included with the mod at installation. Second please don't suggest that all this is unfair/ ruins gameplay or whatever. All these are used by real modern vehicles, and thats good enough for me. Heres what I want them to be used for.

Tanks: Gunner view for automatic target steadying while moving. This will negate single tanking, because now tanks won't have to stop to hit something, which is similar the WW2.

AAA Guns: will actually allow these things to have a hope of hitting something. Right now they have to be either heading directly for the gun or directly away in order to score a hit. Again this allows for target engagement while moving.

Choppers: Probably best to use for the Gunner position for the chain gun. Not a big deal as far as missiles go. Once again will allow for mobile target engagement.

Jets: Will have a realistic aiming system for laser guided bombs. In operation peace keeper they just used the old vanilla system (2 seater thing). Yes thats very nice but it would just be better if there was a way to do a single seat targeting method. This could just be like right clicking and you pop into the targeting view.

Infantry obviously should be excluded from this. I don't like aimbots or cheating. But having a limited implementation of something like this would allow for some realistic vehicle aspects.

aimbot is hardly the term to use for this....

Tanks dont "lock on" to stuff as such. I have been in a CR2 gunner simulator on the bovington trip and what you need to do is point your scope at the target, then "lase" the target to get its distance etc, then the computer in the CR2 will automaticly put the turret at the right elevation etc to hit that target and all you need to do is fire. You can also get the lase to track a moving vehicle but that takes a little skill and they didn't let us have a go at doing that, but if i remember correctly you need to lase the target for afew seconds constantly and it will track it after that providing its going at the same speed and direction. Yes the turret dose also have stabliztaion but alot ive said above is not possible with the BF2 engine, like always.

AAVs use there radar to track a target in r/l, but AA cannons dont have radars so they have to be done manually. I aint 100% sure if we can get AAVs to track a target but I dout its possible thou is something we are planning on looking into I thinks :)

Ehhh the gunner for a apache still dose not "lock on" to targets. In the Apache the cannon is controlled and directed by the head set the gunner wheres, and the cannon points at w/e you are looking at. Aint 100% sure how the missiles work but I think they go off the radar off the top, but are not "locked on" as such.

as for the laser guided bombs, its something thats very hard to do realistic, if impossible we aint quite sure. We have attempted in the past to do this many times and failed each time crating something that works well from a playable point of view. But no dout we will keep on working on this for some time yet before we can say fully if its possible or not.
