I was testing out the cobra on GoO, and it seems like you can only steer a tv guided missile down now in 0.613. Used to be you could steer them up as well.

Are they really like this now or am I just on crack?

TV missiles can only be guided by clicking a spot on the ground, so down basicly. I was like this before the patch.

Really? Like in BF2 you could steer them up as well... I really thought in PR you could steer them up. Sure are hard to use without being able to steer up!

Yes, in BF2 you could, but in PR you can´t. Is a bit harder. But to be honest, you should need to steer them up. You should make sure your pilot is above the enemy chopper.

It is possible to steer them in all directions.

I really thought it was possible to steer it in all directions. I'll have to test it again. But could more people post here and tell me if they steer in all directions or only ones below the middle (down and to the sides but down)

You can launch it up, but can't steer it up again, when already steered it down.

Probably to prevent the gameyness of a chopper TVing another chopper, like in vBF2

You can click anywhere you want, but it will only register the click when the crosshair is over the ground or pointing at it, not if you point at nothing in the sky.

so make sure there's a mountain/hill behind the target ;P

Its possible thats been done to discourage tv missiles as AA
