Map idea US army* againt INS. 0.7 ?

-8 house blocks
-accesable houses and roofs

-many destroyable buildings among them

-US main, at an road that leads to the city (not accesable by insurgents so it would concentrate on street fighting not ieding :) )

-US Main has: 2 Bradleys, 4 Humvees and 1 support humvee

-Insurgent rallypoint allover the houses (-5 tickets when destroyed)

-Insurgent only have a few PKM and RPG pickups and 1 sniper kit

-US army mission is to drive insurgents out of the city (by killing the Rallypoint)

You need to sketch it out, Im not seeing it. Im not a mapper but its not likely your first idea will be your best

Yea,I suggested an idea very similair to yours,in the past,by expanding the map "Street" and etc. but it got rejected like lots of ideas here,so I starting working in BF2 Editor.Street has some pretty intense city fighting,and Basrah used too.

Basrah for 16 players works really nice for this purpose of street fighting but not as limited as street where you only have 3 corridors to fight in and some tactical locations that you have to secure in order to win. I think that joining the Basrah type of city where most houses either have a way in to their floors or a way to climb to their roofs but with more limitation to control the action a bit would be the best way to make this type of map.

My advice is to go through with your idea as a personal project. Since your learning to map, wait for the US Army, or start mapping a layout. My first map was stupid, the second was amazing. Though it was small and laggy. :P

you can relase a FAN MAPPACk whit 0.6 engine..

or you can wait for 0.7... whit our news challengers :)

I have an Idea for a Russians vs Militia map. It's not gonna be very realistic but here it goes. Basically Surge but underground.

The Militants have seized and underground bunker from the cold war filled with old russian missle stockpiles, The russians have been sent into secure it. I want to make this map a CQC combatants paradise, In order to make the bunker underground i was thinking about digging out the terrain and covering the top with false shrubbery and trees, And i was going to make it 4 story with an under ground parking garage(With cars inside of it), Elevator that goes between the floors, And a whole assortment of rooms like dining, bed, control, silo, etc anything that a bunker would have. Now my question is how hard would it be for a newbie mapper like me and if i do make the map will people be interested?

do we have russinas weapons / skin / voices ??

your idea isnt bad.. im wanna se chechenia vs russia

well ha... the challenger can be used by US troops... i dont mean in a small place whit a challenger.. thats going to be unfair..
