Cant wait to try the Scimitar out  ,but what sort of role will a 'light scout tank' play in pr? It should make things a little less A-symetrical with the well equiped factions(unless other factions get an equivalent too)Cant wait for .7 keep up the great work PR team.

When I was in the RMC, the Scimitar was a vehicle we saw alot (3 Commando Medium Armoured Reconnaissance is supplyed by B squadron of the House Cav Regiment). The Scimitar is also used as a support vehicle, its small size means it is not as easy to hit as a Chally or Warrior, it is reasonably fast and the good old Rarden is a good support weapon.

Wile it is a usefull little wagon, I think people will use it as a tank. It is not a tank at all.

I think you mean less symmetrical. Less A-symmetrical implies things are more the same, less different.

I really do hope this vehicle takes the role of a "light apc" being able to transfer troops faster than the warrior - don't know what its rules are on spawning in it.

But I do want to see this bugger move faster than the Jihad-Targets ( I mean warriors! )

the scimitar is not a APC, its can only take a 3 man crew (will be 2 ingame) and its just used as a recon vehicle in r/l :)

Did you not read anything child!

It is not an APC mate, although it uses the Rarden in a similar fasion to the Warrior's cannon (Also a Rarden I belive, have a Pongo check it out). The Armoured Personnel Carrier in the CVR(T) family is the Spartan which is used in specialist roles. I think the RAF regiment used to use it when defending large airstrips too.

The Scimitar in game will and should be used as a light recce vehicle that is able to move fast from its hiding position to support troops from a distance, not as an assault vehicle and definitely not as a tank, despite the automatic cannon.

I'm pretty sure it uses the same cannon as the warrior if i can remember right from what the guys at bovington told me?
