I remember back in 0.5 Al Basrah when [R-DEV]DuckHunt made a nice weapon location map. This slightly reminded me of GTA San Andreas weapon maps made by ordinary people. It also made the map so much more fun to play.

Firstly, can someone explain to me how the weapon layout system works in 0.6 Al Basrah.

Now, is it possible to make a similar map for 0.6 Basrah? I heard that 0.6 has a somewhat random weapon layout. Is it possible to mark “potential” weapon spawns on the map?

Note: This is only about weapon locations and not ammo-caches. Never had a chance to grab the SVD in 0.6, but keep seeing fellow insurgents using it all the time. I want to be in on the big secret

All so the basement of the compound east side of Bakalakadaka street across from the Slums.

This is what I found in Al Basrah so far, (not much). I know that the SVD from some basement is no longer there, got removed in 0.6, or maybe it got moved somewhere else.

Edit: Map removed, (better one out now)

Shouldn't the pickup weapons be placed in the weapon cache locations only? Might give the insurgents an incentive to defend them rather than swarm around vcp

Also there is a RPG or SVD hidden in a few caches.

Speaking of that weapon. I fianlly got to use it today on battle arena! My god i kicked so much *** with that gun! And the Dual Uzi's work better in Basrah then on Kashan!

Now i understand the thrill of actually finding it yourself!

we should make an agreement now that no one will post the M82s location

maybe when someone posts it they'll come out with .7 sooner so they can change the location!

Excellent work! Dark Talon. That map helped much. Too bad they nerfed down the SVD numbers in 0.6, (unless you can find some at ammo-caches)

That map was taken from the PR folder and cropped for a better fit.

the weapon locations are not really correct as lots are missing even from some of the defined locations, the minimap is the newest.

Do what I did to find it. Run around looking at team mates with the sniper Icon. When you find the guy with the m82, highlight him and stick with him. When he dies pick up his gun anyway... he will run to the spawn location whilst you watch him on the map
