TeamKill - How to forgive

TeamKilling is part of our everyday life.
When it happen, you get killed for no apparent reason and it frustrates you and you punish.
When YOU TeamKill someone, you dont understand why he punished you.
Why do people TeamKill :
-You were in the middle of a bunker, wich happens to have alot of ennemies in. ___So someone throws a grenade and kill everyone (including you).
-A new player is VERY jumpy, you pop out in front of him, and he shoots___
You've been were he was, be understandable.
-Youre all waiting for some vehicule, someone takes the plane that you have been waiting for 20 minutes, and everybody kills him.
Why you need to forgive :
-Be understanding, evaluate the situation
-If everyone is at an airfield waiting for a plane, create an AIR or TRANSPORT squad, youll see that you will get priority. If not, MAKE YOURSELF USEFUL, DONT JUST STAND THEIR WAITING BECAUSE YOUR TEAM IS GETTING CREAMED.
-Some times things are quite confusing and people just shoot everywere, SHUT UP... youve been there. Be UNDERSTANDING.
When should you punishe:
-When you are 100% sure that it was intentionnal, and in PR, its quite rare. I dont care if you need to spend 10 minutes trying to find out if was intentionnal.
So dont TK, dont punish.
Sure it happens, youre mad, but dont let it go to your head and explode
So check before firing
Understand the situation
Try to laught about it
Its just nicer if nothing happens that involves a gun fired and youre allied heads blown off.

If you kill me twice stupidly,I punish.
If I am not near an enemy or way behind the lines and you just shoot whatever is moving I punish.
Other than that I forgive, and most of the above times I have already forgiven when I realize you did it for those reasons.

My rule of thumb: punishes should be for intentional and blatant TKs

Hell i mostly find myself being tked and not being killed by enemies
I punish then, they need to check the minimap and check before you shoot.
No excuse.

Especially long range tank shots when you are the only guy out there, a nice blue dot with no enemies anywhere near.

i punish when it is absolutely clear that there are no enemy's around, and expecially when they were just being stupid and didn't check the minimap.
after that i allow a 10 sec "sry time" for them to say sry after that PAGE DOWN

I punish for intentional TK's, and just plain stupid TK's, even if they say sorry. They need to be punished for being stupid. Otherwise what incentive is there for them to learn to stop being stupid?
For example, I'm on the 2nd floor of some building, with no enemies in or around it, and a guy on my team throws a grenade into the building even though my dot is clearly visible on the minimap and there are no enemies near by. That's stupid!
I'm in the middle of the wide open with no enemies near me, and I get tk'd by someone who could easily ID me at least using the map.
I approach a friendly, he can clearly see that I am a friendly by my name tag (unless he is retarded or something, and then, because is an idiot, he doesn't notice an enemy coming up behind him, so I do a very tricky shot or shots, and manage to kill the enemy even though I have to shoot past the teammate. Then the teammate looks around for a bit, and then start auto firing on me, and it takes a while for him to kill me, so he's gotten the Stop Firing now message and keeps auto firing on me. lol. When I am on my game I won't just punish that kind of stupidity, I will fire back and kill him before he kills me.
And then you have morons who punish for obviously unintentional, and NON stupid tk's. Like if you have a crazy firefight with lots of people jammed together and you end up TKing someone while killing some enemies. You shouldn't punish for that. Or when you drive onto someone's Mines, or when you run in front of friendly fire!

back in the day glory houndz ran a script.. 3 punished tks you were banned for the rest of the round. back then i found that (for lack of a better word) more of a gentalmens game the vBF2. lets face it, TKs happen, and for the most part are by accident. the only time i will punish this is when it is blatently obvious, then again that will earn a perma ban on our server until such time as the child grows up and learns to play nice on the play ground. in the DVB world blowing up your commander, squadleader, and the rest of your squad with the unfourtunate bounce of an M203 is reffered to "Pulling a Mitch" . and lets face it accidents happen, we have all been guilty of poor judgement at one time or another.
i would like to see PR return to the mature game it once was. little to know childish rubbish spamming the text channels, no rampent TKing (if ya did, you had to wait an hour to play on a populated server again). bottom line folks, play like mature players everybody will have a better time.

being the only SL assaulting river fort and getting shot when finally inside by one of the 26 blue guys in charlie 6 is worth punishing, if you call me harsh or not.

'[T wrote:BludShoT;508613'][...] Or when you drive onto someone's Mines,...
I get people punish me ALL the time when they drive into my mines.., its completely retarded and i usually endup typing in teamchat
" Big black blobs on the road are NOT hot sexy sweetie powerups.. DO NOT PUNISH FOR YOUR STUPIDITY"
2 mins later someone else punishes me for their inept driving skills,VERY frustrating.
On the other hand ive also seen ppl been kicked for negative score coz someone drove a full vehicle into friendly mines that were stupidly placed.., that just sucks.
I usually forgive for any tk's as punishing doesnt ( AFAIK ) effect their score anyway so whats the point?.

Sometimes its very frustrating. Like when taking a support kit to give your squad covering fire, to give them time to flank the incoming enemy, and to die 5 meters away from your RP because of some friendly fire. But I always wait for appologies. If someone do that I always forgive. I dont punish for obvious unintentional TK's or for TK's that was made because of me - I run onto a grenade, a mine, C4 on someones continous fire, etc. ...

It puts me off using mines... when you do use them, instead of covering a certain area, you have to use them in an unreal way like popping them just behind or around enemy transport at that very moment in time so that you know it will be them that gets it and not one of your own.

Yeh i use this technique more often than not. It does save on many TK punishes. Recently ive taken to using another technique of placing a mine in the area you want to seal off in such a way its easily avoidable but when the vehicle drives to drive round it i have C4 waiting in the open area. Usually the explosion of the c4 pushes the vehicle onto the mine they were trying to avoid
9x out of 10 it works a charm.

What's worse than having a single shot fired at you from a friendly, causing you to bleed, especially the from G3's, is when d*ckheads fire the whole magazine at you, and when they reload they say 'Sorry'...
I manage to evade sometimes by running away , and even then they think, it's an enemy, they're shooting at.

Thats why I stoped placing mines. Probably red skull just encourage them to drive on it, I dont know. Unless there gonna be a forcefield around friendly mines I think u cant force those guys not to drive on them.
