have dual core 6600 2 gig geil ram ati x850 xt pci graphics card rapter hard drive gigabyte 965 mother board
Installed PR game loads up until reaching join game then crashes back to desk top each time.
Does anyone have any ideas what may be wrong

Welcome to the forum. What's your operating system? Vista has been known to cause some trouble.

1. Have you updated BF2 to version 1.41 (can you play normal BF2 online?)
2. Are you sure you downloaded the 0.61 Client(Full) and not the Client(patch). (is the downloaded file 160 mb or 1800 mb?)

I am using windows xp operating system and I downloaded the 1800 odd mega byte file x game arena

sorry also have 1.41 patch installed and I do play bf2 on line

i also have this problem atm! ive got the latest bf2 patches etc but when i go on PR i get kicked to the desktop! bf2 plays fine

i was advised to download the latest direct x i tried that, but it still fails to work

uninstall PR, then BF2.

This can't be the solution. I have AMD Athlon 64X2 4800+ 2gigs 225 HD
Geforce 8600 GT OC. I can only play on mostly low settings or else i get kicked... But BF2 I play full high settings no prob. Uninstall can't be the solution. Its PR.

if this is for .6 you might be downloading and then not actually installing it due to a virus that blocks it, that was my reason i kept CTD, if ur computer has pop-up, adware problems i suggest u download an anti-virus clean ur comp and then try reinstalling PR, this all worked for me BTW

think its more of an in game problem ,due to the fact that i had 5 clan members in my squad 3 were in the chopper on ghost train and for no reason all 3 of them had ctd at the same time ?

could be your screen resiolution settings that cant handle it. Try starting the game in safe mode then reducing the screen res.

i currently got it down to 800×something and it still CTD's... im gonna try something a bit higher now...
