Lasers

Hey guys!!

i donwloaded the demo of the COD4 and i see this..

when you put the night vision.. you can see lasers

so

Pressing a buttton on PR.. BF2. .can you put lasers? i mean use them for more accuracy.. etc

it this possible on this engineee?

we don't have super 1337 laser guns, so idk what we'd need that for..

Don´t some us army M4s have PEQ laser sight thingies on them? Or have I been watching too many films...

nope hardcoded (if i am not wrong) i cant remember who but some dev posted on another guy's post about this exact thing saying the reasons why it wont work and such

you need NVGs to see infrared light

I vote possible. You don´t need to see the beam, that isn´t realistic, just the "dot". I have seen this on one of the shotguns from POE2. But of course, it acts like a crosshair, so it would have to be limited....

If this was/able to be added in,it wouldn't serve a purpose really,there's only one night map in PR,Bi Ming,and those R.I.S. Lasers are mainly used to pinpoint targets for air units,or to give infantry a general area of the enemy...If more night maps were made though,and if it was able for this to be added,that'd be a cool touch.

I ftyou search around on BFSP, there's something about laser sights there...

And, I agree. Engy's should have this to guide in fire from helicopters and jets (jets can see this thing when they're 3000+ meters in the air I would think so this way they can drop precision munitions (lock on to laser - gunner of plane can also shoot a laser @ stuff)) from high altitude.

Infrared illumination lasers have been suggested before. Please use search. :)
