Well me and my clan have been trying to find out how to make custom maps but cant find any software thats free, I'm asking here because there a lot of high detail massive maps in PR and i was wondering what software do you use to create these maps? My first guess would be 3dsmax but It costs a lot... Is there any freeware programs that would work good? I've heard of BF2 Editor but I don't exactly know what that lets you edit. Thanks in advance.

google BF2 editor buddy, you'll find its free and readily available. (and the bf2 lightmap samples if you're mapping)

That gives you more or less all the editor stuff you need to edit anything, until you get really deep in it..
