Do you shoot lefty or righty?

This is a poll, quite random I should say, but it also comes with an idea.
We should have an option in PR that set the ''gun visuals'' (everything that you see on screen while your using your gun) as if you were shooting righty or lefty.
Lefty : the animations are on the left (or from the left)
Righty : stays the same as ingame.
Maybe it would make players more ''comfortable'' while playing the game (coulnt think of any other word)
I shoot Lefty

I shoot with the right hand. I didnt know you could change the hand you hold the gun in in BF2

Righty and i kinda do know what you mean.
Before Ea screwed up Bf2 dice originally had that ability.

ehhh also, if you had the option to switch from right to left in BF2 (which I can tell you now is not possible with just a menu option) weapons like the L85A2 can only be used in the right hand mode cos otherwise you are going to get a black eye for every shot

I know, but usually, guns ejects the empty shells on the right hand sides, (in the case of the L85A2, I have no idea), so when a lefty soldier shoots, he knows he got to be careful. (how many times did I got a burning empty shell land on my harm because i wasent waring a long sleeve shirt)

No for the L85A2 the cocking handle comes back and smacks the guy in the face.
Also not to forget the problem with most optimized weapons in BF2/PR that faces on the right side of the gun in the 1st person mesh are missing to increase performance as the player dose not see thous faces.

i can shoot left, but my right eye is dominant so its quite a bit harder than shooting right. I play airsoft tho, and you have to learn to shoot left to be effective. its just like basketball, you have to learn to shoot left even though its not natural.
in a video game, shooting left looks so wrong lol

I normally shoot right handed, but with my bb and paint gun, if i need to shoot around a corner on the left, i can shoot left handed, al beit not as well...

Unreal Tornament 2k4 had this feature, was pretty cool, i don't think it would do much for gameplay if it was possible though.
I shoot lefty BTW.

lol no the best is if you are shooting a luger parabellum pistol and the casings eject straight up, then come right back down on your head.

I'm a strange one at this point:
In real life, I'd use my left hand for rifles and anything requiring two hands, which is kinda impractically at this point since my leading eye is the right one.
Also, with Pistols it more or less seems to decide on a day-to-day basis. Usually I'd use the left hand, but sometimes I feel more comfortable with the right hand.
In a game on the contrary, I am usually more comfortable with right-handed view, simply because I use my right hand for the mouse.
Although this might just as well be because I am used to right-handed, I'll try some games with a left-handed gun in the next time.

To be honest, who cares about this?
I don't know what it would add to the game.

With a normal rifle or pistol I always shoot righty.
In airsoft I use both when nessecary though.

Who in there right mind would fire a weapon from the left. Although most have the ability to be shot from the left, it makes them much more clumbsey than using it on the right. I am left handed, yet I shoot with the right.

Wouldn't you have to fix up the reload animations too? Or you can "mirror" the weapons/reload animation, like in CS. Anyway, shoot right...
