Please, remove the compass thingy at the bottom of the screen

I never use it, I don't know anyone who does.
It is unrealistic, and it takes up extra space on the screen

it just looks bad there. maybe you could add a mini version on the minimap (the GPS), which would be a tad bit more IRL, and it would look a lot cleaner.

Wait, a Compass is unrealistic and a minimap isen't?

If you turn on the rotational minimap in the game options, then the compass on the minimap will move. Though, most people don't use the rotational minimap, they use the static minimap. Anyway, I don't think the compass should be removed...

The Compass is extremely useful in game, as IRL you hear them say , enemy contact southwest or w/e.. The compass should however be more detailed as i suggested before not removed

maybe there should be a compass in the kits. you have too take it and see witch direction you go.. that would be ultimate realistic and remove all the maps and options.. that what you want?

The HUD Compass is probably one of the most useful tools ever added to BF2, especially on crewed vehicles. I use it all the time as tank commander to get my gunner to look in the same direction as I am. The minimap is useless for this purpose, but with a little technique I can get the gunner to find a single enemy infantry at 800m in just seconds.

yea...i actually find that compass extremely useful, helps with SLing, telling people where to move, and where to direct your fire.
