Is it possible to put a 5 sec delay on the C4 Remote detinator, not on planting the C4 just on arming the the detinator.

That could stop suicide bommers! and make sure I dont acidently blow my elf up!

i dont think its gona help b/c you can push the button 5 sec before you crash in to the target.

The double mouseclick suicide engineer stuff would be eliminated. At least they're going to try make it out of the trouble. Great idea!

As for the insurgents, usually I manage to run away from the blast zone so this 5 sec. delay won't change anything for me.

Hopefully their IEDs are gonna be modelled in 0.7. No more confusion with C4!

Suggested before I believe. I think the general consensus was be a little more careful.

Yeah, happened with me before in the thick of battle when I had the engineer kit and wanted to do some quick repairs but instead of button #6 I push #5 and tried to start to use the wrench as fast as I could... nasty accident. At least I would have 5 seconds to tell my squadmembers to run for cover!

The other thing is that suicide missions doesn't fit for a Combat Engineer. The 5 secs protocol would make it harder IMO.

And yeah, it's entirely possible to NOT blow yourself to smithereens when placing C4 - if you're careful
