Motorcycle damage

I don't think this has been mentioned so I figured I would put in my two cents. Is there any way you could lower the damage that insurgent dirtbikes take from wear and tare? I find very often even when driving them very carefully that I can barely get across a map without them exploding from going over terrain. I'm not saying to make them harder to blow up from APC's and so on but just the damage taken from driving.

And I know this has been posted before but I think a UAV kit would be cool. Something semi-stationary with an alternative screen for the UAV camera would be neat (even though I am sure it would be challenging to design). I just think even an unarmed UAV would ad alot to the game for the commander or officers.

Truth. Right now motorbikes are very fragile.

It wasn't a thread directly relating to the damage though, so it's reasonable that he posted it.

As for the UAV thing, as far as I can remember the developers are against having them in game in most shapes or forms at least, can't recall why though.

Right. Agree with the dirtbike damage. It's annoying! :?

Also a thing which i would like to mention are the controls of such a dirtbike... they are not easy.. you often hit a obstacle like a wall or something. The controls of that white jeep without MG (Insurgency -> Basrah) are very bad, too.

The UAV wouln't be so good. It's kinda Arcade and i hate something like that. It would be unfair against other factions. And i don't think that MEC would have in RL an UAV, too. Sure, maybe the americans would have it but i don't know... it's a lil bit Vanilla-like ;)

But spotting enemys with a littlebird. Well. Of course it's possible but you can't just spot them out of the cockpit. You have to fly "into" them that your cross-hair is right over the enemy. Only then you could spot someone and i think it would be really hard for some pilots (not everybody is a good pilot). Also it would be very dangerous... a little RPG or an AA would be enough to take this littlebird down. So that's not a good idea.

I don't mind the dirtbike controls right now, they take alot of getting used to, but once you're the only guy in the round who knows how to drive one and you're on a map with 4 fast spawning dirtbikes you can eisily get the highest score in the round just by jihad. but i guess it would be more realistic if they were easier.

as for the UAVs i think the MEC would have one, they're clearly not poor, and if they can afford all those G3s and Migs then they could certainly buy a cheap UAV from russia or make one themselves, they are conventional army after all.

None of the regular armies in BF are poor. Besides, giving a UAV to any faction in PR that would totally kick the gamebalance in the head. Just imagine: the SL sees heavy movement in a specific area, issues out a UAV request, sees three enemies in close vicinity on the map, and the enemy's RP is uncovered. Project Reality is the hard way, let everybody know! :)
